My own dogs, Ziggy, an 11 year old Multese-Poodle mix and Molly, a 9 year old long-haired dachshund are not my pets, they have always been my fur siblings. The animals we choose and that choose us are our fur children, siblings or fur family and I always treat the dogs or cats in my care as such, whether they be my own or a friend’s pets that I have been asked to care for. I grew up with a cat and have cared for my friends’ cats so I am no stranger to cat care. And while I have two little dogs I have grown up and around dogs of all shapes and sizes that belonged to various family members and friends.
