Wagging tails: Pet care never fails
Pet care experience
Growing up, my parents never let me have any pets, so I like to make up for lost time and love by taking care of other pets! I've taken care of several dogs, many cats, and even some guinea pigs. My colleagues have trusted me with their pets and they've all been so happy with how I've been able to update them while they're away and making sure their babies are safe and having a great time with me!
Reviews
Andrew was extremely attentive and understanding. Great pet sitter and patient with our little call of anxiety. 10/10
Andrew was very responsive and took good care of our dogs and guinea pigs, including medications for our older dog. We would welcome him back anytime.
Andrew was caring for my senior dog and did a great job helping her adapt to being away from home, including coaxing her to take her medication and kibble. Really appreciated his care.
Andrew was fantastic with our two senior dogs! They require lots of medicine and attention and are on very strange schedules. Andrew took everything in stride and instilled tons of confidence in us. He followed all of our instructions, asked questions where appropriate, and sent us lots of photos. We will definitely ask him to house and dog sit for us again. Andrew gets our highest recommendation!

I've done both where I've had pets stay at my place and where I've come to the client's home to check in and play with their pets. When they're in my apartment, I try to provide them as much space as possible for them to play around in and remove any potential hazards (e.g., plants, heavy objects that could fall, loose food). When visiting a client's home, not only do I check in on their pet, I also dedicate time to spending quality time with them, whether that is playtime, walks, or just petting them if they want some company! I'd like to call it enrichment time. As my parents always say, "leave the house better than you found it."

Information Andrew T. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know how your dog is around other dogs! The Capital Crescent Trail has thousands of people walking their dogs and if your dog is shy, anxious, or does not like other dogs, I will plan accordingly and take an alternative route with less people and dogs. I'd also like to know their typical feeding routines to ensure that they are eating properly. If something stands out, I will let you know.
A typical day
I live close to the Capital Crescent Trail and I enjoy doing most of my walks there. Sometimes if the puppy or dog is high-energy, I will go on a 20-30 minute jog to tire them out and they take an amazing nap afterwards. Once they wake up, I like to spoil them with pets, play fetch/tug of war, or just give belly rubs if they allow me to!
