Pet care experience
Grew up playing in the crate with our dogs, then when old enough I had two of my own, a Golden Retreiver and a German Shepard that I took care of until they passed at 15 years old. Plus my family has had lots of dogs and cats of their own that I have helped to take care of.

I requested Andrew to housesit my two dogs while I was away for work. My expectations which aligned with Rover's definition of house sitting was that he would remain in the house with my pets for the duration of time set aside from running out for food or other walks with gaps lesser than a couple of hours. He was set to be in the home from 10 AM on Monday to 6 PM on Tuesday, however, on Monday he was only in the home from 1-2 PM. I understand there was a mistake in address communication, but he arrived there an hour and a half late and he didn't get to the correct address until an hour after receiving the location despite it only being 15 minutes away. So he missed their first 10 AM walk entirely. I noticed on my cameras that he had still not been back to the house by 6 PM, despite sending pictures throughout the day. When I reached out asking when he'd be back he replied a few hours later saying he had an emergency at the store he runs which is understandable, however, I would have preferred much earlier communication so I could hire another walker to let the dogs out. By this point my pets had been left alone for 7 hours when I stated they need to be taken out every 3-4 hours. He also let me know there had been an accident while he was there and requested where cleaning supplies were - hours after the accident had occurred, not in the moment like I would expect. He then told me he had believed this to just be walks and not house sitting, when I had paid $170 for his services listed under "House Sitting". I had to search for another emergency walker and couldn't find one until 10 PM at which point my dogs had been left alone for 8+ hours and the other walker let me know there were accidents on the rug and couch by that point. He does not communicate well and does not seem to look at his bookings carefully resulting in a mess in my home and stress while I'm trying to focus on work. Rover also did not provide me a statement credit to pay for the other walker and said I'd have to wait 7 days for my $170 to be returned and I had to pay for another house sitter on top of the $170. I would not recommend Andrew for house sitting services and I would suggest a camera to ensure he's there when paid for.
Andrew is an excellent caretaker. He went above and beyond in the midst of the holiday season. Our kittens can be a bit much, but Andrew was able to keep them happy and active while we were away. Clean and nothing out of place! Highly recommended!
Andrew was wonderful. He sent me detailed updates about my cats while I was away. I would highly recommend his services.
Andrew was awesome! My cat, Tiki, was very well taken care of! Andrew sent me a video of him playing with Tiki while I was gone, and it made me so happy. This was my first time away from Tiki since adopting him, and I was very glad that he was in good hands.

I currently run a cafe from 10-3 Wednesday-Sunday on Larchmere, where I live, other than that I am free to take care of the kids. I tend to go on afternoon runs and hikes, so it'll be perfect if they like to too.
