Pet care experience
Currently a Physical Therapapist that has a long term interest in fostering and caring for all animals. Currently an owner of 3 young cats (all under 3) one of which was affected as a kitten with a virus that caused CNS development problems that present as poor motor control of the posterior half. I am good with creative problem solving, and quickly made adjustments to my apartment to assist with providing the same access to higher surfaces for my kitty who has no pounce abilities. Previous owner of 2 labradors, one of which has passed and the other is a happy 14 year old staying with my parents as I have relocated from Chicago to Milwaukee for school. With her old age we have become adapted at addressing her special needs that have come with her old age, including her incontinence and arthritis.

Andrew consistently is a reliable source when I need someone to take care of my Dobermans. He is always punctual and respectful. My babies are always happy to see him when he comes over which I think speaks so much about how he is around them while I am gone.

For my own cats It is very important that their litter boxes are cleared out everyday, and that they have fresh food and water. Also they need some form of stimulation so they aren’t bored so play is equally as important!

If your dog has particular preferences for being interacted with that is important to know! Also if your dog has a particular no fly zone with touching them in certain areas I would like to know that as well, for example sensitive ears!
A typical day
I like to facilitate the pets exploring their natural instincts. For dogs, on outside walks, I like to let them decided where we go and give them plenty of time to smell so they fee enriched. With cats, I love to encourage their little hunters with a variety of toys stimulating their inner hunter!

I see patients in their home between 9-3, then I have documentation after the fact that can be done anywhere! I am also flexible to spend the night!
