Griffith Park, Runyon Canyon hikes!

Pet care experience

Hi, I'm Andrew. I'll be great to your dog. I love pups of all sizes, shapes and colors. I've been a dog dad for about 14 years. Currently I have a 3 year old pitty mix, and two puppies that just turned 1! As for myself, and I come from a solid background working with pets. I've worked at doggy daycare and boarding facilities and am always thrilled when one of my friends calls me to take care of their little loved ones. I love going on hikes with pups or just strolling around the neighborhood. I'm comfortable with dogs of any age and size and I like to be active so don't worry if your dog needs a little extra exercise. Your best friend will receive all the fun and love and sunshine there is to offer! I'm open for drop-ins and walks at the moment. Possible short-term stays aren't off the table as well, and I promise I won't eat everything in your fridge. Thanks for checking me out!

Andy is the best. We were so relieved he could watch our dog in short notice around the holiday travel season. Felt grateful and lucky our pup was in such great hands. :)

I have watched Andrew take care of his incredible dog, Oliver, for 8 years. Not only is Andrew extremely fun, energetic, and playful, he's also very attentive, patient, loving, and above all things, loyal. Any dog (and person) is lucky to have Andrew as a companion.

Andrew is kind and dependable guy with a soft spot for animals. He always make sure his dog, Oliver is cared, often putting Oliver's needs before his own. Without a doubt he is an excellent pet owner! I recommend him to my clients, when I am booked!

My pups are my kids. That fine line between spoiling them rotten, and making sure they don't eat too many treats, or forget their training too much, is what I balance all day. I do daily training and try to keep as consistent as possible. They are so very loved. I understand every home is different, and every pet within that home has different rules and expectations. I know how important consistency and routine is for pets, and I always respect and follow the specific rules and requests for each household so that both pet and owner feel reassured and reinforced.

Information Andrew S. would like to know about your pet

I always like to know the general temperament of each pup before I fly solo with them. What do they like/dislike? Do they love tennis balls or sticks? Squeaky or plush? How do they feel about lakes or the ocean? Are they going to drag me down the street after a tasty-looking chipmunk? Any notable triggers for aggression, like food, or toys? Importantly, how are they in social situations? Do they get along with other dogs, people, children? Or would a quiet walk away from people and pets be more their speed? Also any allergies or sensitivities? Medications or medical conditions that I might need to know about? Also, and of course, most importantly, what is their favorite treat, and how much am I allowed to give them in one day? All breeds are welcome!

A typical day

My favorite is trail hikes. I know several local trails that range from easy walks to slightly less easy climbs, and I'm always up for exploring new areas. I often walk around the Mousam River Preserve, and just recently discovered a nice easy climb to the top of Goat Hill. Perfect for pups who may have some mobility issues but still love the outdoors.

I have 3 high energy dogs around me at home. They are involved in nearly everything I do in some way or another. I couldn't be happier about it.
