Pet care experience
I have loved dogs ever since I can remember. I grew up with a very energetic Springer Spaniel who lived to be 15 so I was kept very busy. I’m at a time in my life that I’m just not ready for the full commitment of getting my own dog but it doesn’t stop me from wanting to spend time with other peoples pooches. I would love to get to know your little friend and help out as much as I can when needed to ensure your dog has enough exercise, fun and love when you can’t be there. I have volunteered for the RSPCA in my time and have met and worked with a lot of different breed of dogs which helped me understand that every dog needs very different things, whether it be medication, space, more attention etc. I would be more than happy to patiently get to know what works for you and your pooch so that they are happy and relaxed at all times when in my care. I am able to learn how to give specific medication as needed (I have given a husky who was allergic to herself an inhaler). Dogs to me aren’t pets. They’re family. Dog sitting in my eyes is babysitting. Animals are just as important as humans.
Reviews
Andrew looked after our beagle Sam for a few nights over New Year and proved to be the perfect sitter. They went on long walks, played and curled up on the sofa for cosy nights in together. We had lots of updates and photos to let us know all was well and that Sam was happy and safe. A few days after we returned Andrew popped round to collect some items he’d left at the flat and Sam gave his new friend a wonderful welcome, jumping up and tail wagging with joy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Andrew as a sitter for anyone - friendly, trustworthy and a real dog lover. If you don’t take my word for it then take Sam’s.
Our dog is Baxter, a cockapoo with lots of energy. Andrew is our trusty dog walker and has formed an amazing bond with our puppy over the past 3 months. We can work long hours at times, different shift patterns and Andrew is always happy to work around our ever changing schedule, even at the last minute. Andrew is reliable, flexible and trustworthy and accommodates Baxter’s needs which keeps us at ease whilst out at work. Baxter appears to be very happy when Andrew arrives and is excited to be in his company!! I would not hesitate to pass Andrews details on to others who need him. He’s fantastic!!!
Andy is fun loving and a natural with animals. You can rely on him to be responsible, honest, and to make your dog feel happy and safe. Anyone and their dog(s) would be delighted to have Andy as their dog-sitter!
Andrew is fantastic with dogs, confident and loving. You can tell he's grown up with dogs as he is definetly a dog lover! My dog was very nervous around strangers and Andrew was very patient with him and they developed a lovely bond. Thanks for taking care of him Andrew!

Information Andrew P. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to know the temperament of the dog. Meeting beforehand is good so you can see if we get on etc. Usual routine so I can try to stick to that. Any triggers and things they enjoy so the dog will warm to me and trust me as quickly as possible.
A typical day
A walk to a close park or field or a little drive to somewhere (if owner can provide proper safety equipment) with a lot of space and routes depending on the size and need of the dog. This would happen at least once a day depending on the owners wants and usual routine.
Services
Andrew can host
Andrew can watch in your home
Availability
I work Monday - Friday in a school so I am free evenings and weekends. If close enough I could leave work in the day.
