I'll show your dog the local sights

Pet care experience

July 2017 I began pet sitting last summer after losing my long time companion, a Black Labrador mix named Sunny. That's a picture of him when we lived in Florida. I was divorced and had not planned on getting a dog. I offered to try him out for a week or two when a girl I knew said that she could not handle him, and needed to find him a home. He was about 8 months old then. We ended up spending fourteen very happy years together. I can't tell you how much I miss him. Sunny was a very high spirited, active dog. When I had to board him, it was only with trusted friends that he knew, and I knew could take care of him. Often no one was available. There were many places I couldn't go, and things I couldn't do because I had him, but it was worth it. I couldn't stand the thought of leaving him in a kennel. If you are reading this then you have a companion, or companions, that mean as much to you as Sunny did to me, and there is nothing you wouldn't do to make sure that they are safe and happy while you are away. I take the responsibility of taking care of your dog very seriously because I know firsthand how important it is to you. You can get an idea from the pictures of where your dog will be staying and where I'll be walking them, but I'm sure you will want to bring them over first to meet me, as I would have. If you have an active dog I can promise plenty of long walks. There are parks and lakes (if they like to go in the water on a hot day) within walking distance of my house. There is plenty of shade and little traffic. It is a gated community. When I have a new dog, the first thing I like to do is take them for a long walk after the owner leaves. I find it usually relaxes them and forms a bond between us. Usually they are excited to see a new place and by the time we get home we are fast friends. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
