My family had a large breed, american bulldog pitbull mix, who was the sweetest animal ever! He lived a long happy life to the age of 15. I haven't had the chance to have a pet of my own since, and Rover has been a great way to spend time with pups, while gaining experience with a range of different breeds and behaviors. I have a calm, patient and reassuring demeanor that animals seem to respond well to. I love to walk around beautiful San Diego, and happy to spend downtime with your dog(s), keeping them company and happy as possible while you’re away. Available 7 days a week. I've been working as a web developer from home for the last 9 years. I’m trying to spend less time on the computer, and caring for dogs has been a great way to do that. I often take 20-30 minute breaks throughout the day to get outside for a walk, or play with the dogs. Your dog will get out at least 3 times a day while staying here! Puppies are manageable, but my availability may depend on my current workload! Don’t hesitate to ask. I’m also able to accept dogs who cannot be left alone due to separation anxiety, depending on schedule. I have a relaxed home environment, with my fiancé who is also an animal lover. The apartment is only accessible via stairs, but happy to give assistance to any pets who may need it. We know that dogs are often not as comfortable in a new environment with new people, and will be understanding of any mishaps or accidents. - We only drink filtered water, so will your doggie - No human food allowed! (Unless specified dog-safe fruits/veg/eggs etc.) - I’ll ask before giving your dog any type treats that aren’t provided - Happy to accommodate any special feeding schedule / meal prep / medications - If you’re working on any specific behaviors, let me know and I’ll do my best - I avoid other dogs on walks, as a rule of thumb Unfortunately not able to board larger reactive dogs for safety reasons, as we have a neighbor with a very small dog who likes to dart out unleashed sometimes.
