Pet care experience
My family always had cats and dogs growing up, so I took an active role feeding, training, and caring for them from the beginning puppy stage all the way through care in the older years. I currently have one dog and one cat that I'm beginning to teach my daughter to help with to pass on the love for animals to the next generation. I'm the go-to pet sitter for neighbors, friends, and family when they are traveling or find themselves in a pinch, so I have a good amount of experience with pets of all shapes and sizes. My experiences caring for other people's pets include playing, walking, feeding, bathing, and administering medications as needed. I've assisted with kennel trained and free roaming dogs, as well as older cats/dogs with medical needs or regular medication requirements.

Andrew is a great caretaker! I can't recommend him enough. My dog has always been well cared for and is happy to see him again.
Andrew has watched our 2 cats on a few separate occasions. He is great with animals, trustworthy, responsible, and caring. One of our cats requires medication which is not the easies thing to administer, and he has easily been able to handle that while watching them. I highly suggest him for any of your pet care needs!

I'm available for drop-ins or dog walking depending on openings in my schedule, but I can be pretty flexible with days/times as needed. I've used other Rover sitters for my own pets in the past, so I know how invaluable this service can be, and also how nerve wracking it can be to leave our pets with unfamiliar people. My goal is to do everything in my power to make sure your pet(s) feel loved and cared for while you are away, and to keep you in the loop with updates/pics if that is something that's important to you. I can follow any instructions you leave for me regarding preferences, routines, feeding schedules, walking/litter boxes, medication, and cleaning up messes/spills if they occur between visits. My hope is that you can leave with the peace of mind that your pets will be happy/healthy, and your home will be just the way you left it when you return. I'm always available if anything changes, and won't hesitate to reach out if there are any issues while you are away.

Please let me know of any unique needs or behaviors that you dog/cat has so that I can give them what they need and respond appropriately to their behaviors. Every pet is different, so I want to know your pet as well as I can before taking on the responsibility of their care. I typically prefer a meet and greet prior to taking on a new client to check everything out before accepting the service.

Even during short check-ins or walks I want to make sure your dog/cat gets mental stimulation as well as physical exercise. Let me know what a typical day looks like for your pet while you are home, and I will do my best to match that as closely as possible while you are away.

Availability
I work full-time MTWThF during the school year, so weekday hours are limited to early morning and late afternoon/evening from the end of August through May. During the summer months I'm available pretty much any time throughout the week as needed for dog walking or drop-ins. Weekends are typically open year round, and any changes to my schedule will be noted in my available times as listed in the app.
