Dog lover lending a helping hand
Pet care experience
Love dogs and have experience as the go-to-friend for dog sitting and walking when my schedule allows. I have been caring for friends' dogs for several years though I condensed that experience to be equivalent to approximately 2 years. My experience stretches to caring for dogs of all ages from pups to the puppies in spirit! I'm not allowed to own a dog in my current apartment so I'm offering my services as a Rover to get my doggy playtime while helping some parents get some reliable and flexible help with their dog care routines! What you can expect from me as a dog sitter is someone that is patient and flexible to the kind of personality and build of your dog as well as maintaining the routines you as a parent are trying to enforce. I'm an easy-going and active guy so I would be happy to accommodate your dog's normal activity routine within a radius they can achieve in 30 min i.e. taking them to dog parks that are a 15-20 min walk away from the house. However, if your dog needs a walker or sitter that can deliver more than a leashed walk and a generous amount of affection I am confident in my ability to accommodate the following traits. If your dog has an aggressive personality I can be as firm as necessary to establish a respectable rapport. If your dog is active I don't mind letting them get a couple good sprints in while on leashed runs, or within other supervised means depending on their demeanor e.g. getting a good chase with playmates inside the dog park. If your dog is still working through appropriate social mannerisms with other people or dogs I will take the appropriate precautions while following the routines you have set for them. I currently work as a consultant at the WB that allows for pretty flexible hours when not being sent out on assignment. At least once during the work week and during the weekend I can give a full day. I'm also available for about a 1.5 hour window during lunch time twice a week. For all evenings my plans can be pretty flexible for walks, and overnight stays depending on how much advanced notice you give me. I'm not looking to switch careers so I'm looking to work with parents that are understanding that I will do my best to maintain their puppy's schedule when available and will give reasonably advanced notice if another Rover should come in when I'm sent out on missions.

Andrew was an absolute lifesaver and not only was flexible with my very last minute booking to pick up my dog and bring him back home for me, but followed all my (many!) instructions to a tee, and sent me updates so I didn't have to worry whatsoever while I was at an event. He handled my dog, who can be a bit reactive on leash, with absolute ease and gave me peace of mind that my dog got home safe. Thank you Andrew!!
Andrew is such a kind and responsible sitter. He took care of my dog for four days while I was away for Thanksgiving-- took her on long walks, fed her, and even brushed her! I so appreciated his help and would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Andrew!
Andrew is always prompt and communicates well!
Andrew was a great dog walker. He was able to do a meet and great pretty soon after I reached out to him. He was always on time and communicative. Will definitely use again in the future.
