Excited to meet furry friends!

Pet care experience

This has been my full-time job since September 2021. I use to have a 9-5 job during the week and did Rover for fun on the weekends. I soon realized I was happier on the weekends, so I quit my job and opened up my schedule for more bookings. I've always loved animals but I've never had the pleasure to adopt one of my own. I have house-sat dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens since making my Rover profile, and have experience with a variety of dogs with different temperaments and have even won over a few that were very shy and afraid of most people (rescues that were most likely abused before adoption). I'm able to go for walks rain or shine, as well as provide adequate playtime and love to make sure your best friend is tuckered out for bedtime. I also have a few months experience taking care of an FIV+ cat that needed a lot of extra care and love in terms of medications and special dietary needs, so anything your animal may need, I'm able to handle/administer it as needed. I'm very excited to make more new friends in the Lehigh Valley. I genuinely enjoy animals and getting to know their quirks and needs. I know every animal is different, so I take the time to personalize care based on attitude and personality, as well as energy level and your animals attachment to you. I have a patient and caring approach that has worked well for me over the years, and can adjust to almost any kind of animal personality. I currently have open availability during the week and weekends since I'm lucky enough do this as a full-time job. I try to work every day because it makes me happy, if my calendar says I'm unavailable it is probably because I'm with another client. My ONLY focus is the care of your animals. I am unable to board animals at my home, but I am more than happy to stay in your home where your animal is most comfortable. When someone hires me to stay at the nightly rate, that means that I will be spending no less than 75% of that day with your animals. This ensures that they get the attention they need, and that the client doesn't overpay for subpar service.

A friend of ours used to take care of our 3 furbabies but she moved away. We needed someone reliable who will be also good fot our babies. Andrew came for a greet & meet and he put us at ease. During our week-long stay he was great with babies, sent us photos and updates. He also did laundry before he left and made the bed with the fresh linens! An unexpected gesture. When we go away in the future, we will definitely contact Andrew again and hope his calendar will be open.

Andrew always communicated any issues or progress. He took great care of our cats, and I'll be sure to request a booking again!

I cannot say enough positive things about Andrew!! It is a huge relief having a trustworthy dog sitter to look after my four legged child. Andrew is prompt, courteous and great with communication. I can’t imagine leaving my doggo with anyone else ? (and I don’t think my dog would want anyone else!)

Andrew was so kind and sent us updates throughout his stay with pictures of all our pets! He made it easy to leave our pets home and our minds at ease while we celebrated our wedding. We look forward to working with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for not just a sitter, but someone who will truly care about your pets!

I usually recommend a free meet and greet before hand to see if I am a good fit for your family. At this meeting we can discuss daily routines so that I can try to stick to them as closely as possible while I am with your pets. I find this helps make the transition from me and back to normal easier on the animals. My priority is your animal's comfort and happiness.

Information Andrew C. would like to know about your pet

The usual things: temperament around other dogs we might see on walks favorite treats and food favorite toys and activities special needs/ medications they need on a daily basis

A typical day

I usually try to get a feel for how playful and how much energy your pets have on an average day, and go from there. Walks are a given, but animals like different activities and amounts of attention, and I try to act accordingly. If your pet is able to run with me, I try to go for a short jog before bed to help them sleep. I also enjoy reading in my down time, so I like to curl up with your animals and a book and give plenty of head/belly scratches while I read.

Availability

This is my full-time job, my schedule is built around my clients. I am available any time I am not with another client, if you have special requests just ask and we can work out a way to make it work. 5/14/22: As of now, I am almost completely booked through the summer or until September. It is always worth reaching out and asking if I'm available, but I'm lucky enough to work every day with my furry friends so my regulars keep me fairly busy.
