Kind, Attentive & Consistent Care
Pet care experience
While I've grown up with dogs (from little to large breeds), I've an affinity and appreciation for all animals and am confident in my capacity to provide care, respectively. I understand how wonderfully special they are, offering unrivaled companionship, connection, and comfort; that they inspire joy and gratitude in our hearts through their individual character, play, and temperament. My intent and investment in the care of other's animals is to elicit and instill a peace of mind that their care is like that of my own (though, of course, only second best to oneself).
Reviews
My 2 big dogs wagged their tails like crazy every time Andy came over. Do I get that greeting when I come home? No, and I feed them. He texts the night before to reassure you of his arrival and is always on time. He's very easy to talk to and rapidly becomes family.
Having Andy watch our dog (and tarantula) was just perfect. He took care of our house just like it was his own and our pup couldn't have been happier. He was very communicative and washed all the bedding before he left. We will definitely be using him again!
Andy is an incredible caregiver to my sweet dog. He’s got the Midas touch with her. She loves and trust him very much. I recommend Andy to anybody that has a fur baby. He’s my number one pick and also Alya’s number one. He has a way of mesmerizing her, with a little rub around her ears. I don’t know how he does it. He won’t want anybody else, I promise.
Andy did a fantastic job house-sitting and caring for our 7-year-old Labradoodle. Our pup immediately connected with him at the Meet and Greet (which was a great sign and not always the case with our overprotective dog). Andy is a great communicator, reliable, kind, and attentive. He sent pictures and updates over the 4 day stay, handled medications, gave multiple walks each day, and was respectful of our home (it was hard to tell he had even been there upon our return). Highly recommend!

Communication

Safety, trust & environment
At this time, my kind, attentive, and consistent care extends exclusively to that in / around my clients' homes. I want you and your pet to feel the most at ease -- in that of a known and comfortable environment. I'm amenable and responsive to any instructions, preferences, and needs. Most recently, I cared for a two-year-old mini Golden Doodle (while housesitting in Northern California) that unexpectedly developed an unfortunate "hot spot". Through diligent communication with her owners (who were vacationing in Europe), we coordinated how best to proceed. This included several visits to a vet, where she also, as it turned out, had double ear infections. Treatment protocol required both topical and oral medications twice daily. I recorded an audio of the summary diagnosis from the vet and shared this with her humans, as well as regular updates and photos of the healing progress. Simultaneously, I was asked to move her to a balanced raw diet (like that of my own dog), and which required more effort but that was entirely inline with what I'm already accustomed.
Information Andrew B. would like to know about your pet
Obviously, any and all insight, info, and instruction is helpful to know beforehand or day of, shared whether by email or in-person at the time of visit / care. Thank you!
A typical day
Neighborhood walks, hikes, swims, and dog park expeditions are always a good time. Happy to play in whatever ways. Ear and haunch rubs are forever a means to make fast friends. A cheap child's fishing rod and a rubber lizard entertain cats for days.
