My family and I went to Florida for a week this year, and we hired Andrew to dog sit. In the past, one of my greatest sources of stress was our dog's care. Kaylee is a 13-year-old shepherd/husky mix and is healthy for her age but can get stiff in her hips and needs a good amount of activity while making sure that she doesn't overdo it. Often times with other dog sitters, Kaylee doesn't eat for the first couple of days and doesn't relax until about day three. I jokingly refer to her as our first child so arranging care for her has always been a concern, especially after a bad experience a few years ago. Andrew changed all of that. He is hands down the best dog sitter we've had in 13 years. His manner with Kaylee had her instantly at ease. He greeted her and was already playing with her by the time we left. When he checked in with us, he let us know that she had eaten that night. This was huge. I asked if she was sleeping well or pacing, and he informed us that she was sleeping next to the guest bed where he was sleeping. For Kaylee, this is another huge show of trust. These things instantly put me at ease, and I knew she was in good hands. He exercised her every day, and being an athlete himself, had a good read of what she needed and when to stop. That sort of knowledge is gold for anyone with an active dog. If all of this wasn't enough, we returned home to a clean house and a made guest bed. It was almost as if no one had been there. I can't recommend him highly enough. If you're looking for someone to treat your dog like family and especially if you have an active dog, Andrew should be your first choice.

While we were away on vacation, Andrew took care of our older Golden Retriever, Tucker, as well as, our Brittany puppy Scout. Tucker was older and liked to be sat with and loved while Scout was full of energy and wanted constant movement and playtime. Andrew did a fantastic job with both dogs. He took them on walks/runs separately so each dog could go at the pace they needed. He let the dogs stay with him all through out the house which we appreciated as it was Scout's first time being without the family. When we arrived home it was clear that Andrew had been attentive and calm. The dogs were well-cared for and happy to be with him. Andrew's friendly personality and calm disposition were a great fit. We wouldn't hesitate to leave our boys with him again in the future.
