I have seldom left Ginny behind during a trip. I have to say that Rover is an amazing resource to find great people to care for her. Andreas had great reviews in terms of care and response, and it was a pleasure meeting him. Andreas is the best option to leave your furry friend while at Niagara on the Lake. Nice place very close to main street, great vibe and attitude and great service. Ginny was well taken care of and will certainly ask Andreas again to take care of her during the Shaw festival events.

Andreas was the MVP on our trip to Canada from the States. We needed someone to watch our dog very short notice and they were able to accommodate us. Our dog came back to us well taken care of and full-steam tail wagging, as promised. 10/10 would recommend and return to Andreas if we're ever back in the area.

Leaving my furry friend with Andreas was the best decision I could have made. Andreas went above and beyond in caring for my pet, treating them like family. The regular updates and photos I received were a lovely touch, showing me that my pet was in the best hands. I highly recommend Andreas for anyone seeking a caring and responsible pet sitter. Your pet will thank you!

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets, I prioritize their comfort and well-being whether they're in my home. In my own home, I've designated a cozy and pet-friendly area where they can feel safe and relaxed. I ensure they have access to fresh water, a comfortable bed, and plenty of interactive toys. For clients' homes, I meticulously follow their guidelines, maintaining their pets' routines and providing companionship while also attending to feeding, walking, and any specific care instructions. My goal is to create a seamless transition for pets, making sure they receive the same love and attention they're accustomed to. Located at Niagara-on-the-lake my home has a backyard and a lovely route to walk the dog around.

Ahead of time, it's important to know several key pieces of information about a dog to ensure their well-being and a successful care experience: 1. Medical History: Any existing medical conditions, allergies, medications, or special dietary needs are crucial to know to provide appropriate care and attention. 2. Behavior and Temperament: Understanding a dog's behavior around other dogs, people, children, and unfamiliar environments helps ensure safety and a positive experience for everyone involved. 3. Diet and Feeding Schedule: Knowing the dog's dietary preferences, feeding schedule, and any restrictions or preferences for treats helps maintain their routine and health. 4. Exercise Requirements: Understanding the dog's activity level, preferred exercise routines, and any restrictions is important for planning outdoor activities and playtime. 5. Allergies and Sensitivities: Being aware of any allergies or sensitivities the dog might have to certain foods, environmental factors, or substances helps prevent any adverse reactions.

A typical day

When caring for the dogs I watch, I aim to make their time enjoyable and engaging. Our walks will often include visits to picturesque locations like Queen's Royal Park and the Niagara River Recreational Trail in Niagara-on-the-Lake. These spots offer scenic routes that dogs love. We'll also explore local parks such as Simcoe Park and Centennial Sports Park, where dogs can play and socialize. I prioritize both exercise and mental stimulation, so interactive games and playtime are a must. Rest assured, your furry friend will have a well-rounded and exciting experience during our time together!
