Pet care experience
Dogs have different personalities and needs. I am big on positive reinforcement and I believe in finding the right training motivation for each individual dog (dog training and behavior is an amateur side hobby of mine). The dogs I grew up with were all different and taught me everything I know!: a whip-smart high energy rat terrier-mix, an insecure small chihuahua mix, an elderly and under-socialized German shepherd mix, and my current fur-baby: an aloof, mellow, and independent Akita Inu.

My dog Leo is a high energy Shepherd/Boxer mix that loves getting out of the house and going for a run. Now that I'm on a new work schedule Leo still needs his exercise and Andrea has been a great help when she is available! I definitely recommend Andrea for anyone with an energetic dog like mine since he likes to jog/run/hike!
My dog, Cookie, is obsessed with Andrea! He's a 15-year-old toy poodle who needs extra care and attention, which Andrea always gives when we leave him with her. I would 100% recommend Andrea for all your pet care and walking needs!

At present, I am only making house visits within 2 miles of my neighborhood. I will prioritize a dog's comfort as well as home security, and send pictures from each walk. I will thoroughly review any owner concerns and ask that we have a video chat or in-person meet and greet before any first-time walk, house visit, or drop-in.

A typical day
Walking/jogging around the neighborhood (Ryan Park, Sherwood Park) or, for longer bookings, we can (with owner permission) drive out to the The Field Open Space, Broomfield Commons Open Space, or Westminster City Park. If jogging, max speed ~11 minute miles, with frequent sniff and potty breaks.

Availability
I am available on the weekends and on WFH days Wednesdays and Fridays. I love running, hiking, and walking - and, most importantly, meeting and caring for dogs. I am also willing to take your higher-energy pup on a leashed-hike or a 2.5 mile jog (choose the 60 min walk option for hikes or longer jogs ~4-5 miles).
