Pet care experience
I’ve been around multiple dogs and cats since I was a small child and was raised to love them and treat them as not just animals, but as important and meaningful family members. In my adulthood, I’ve raised one of the most energetic high maintenance dog breeds (GSP) from 10 weeks to now a healthy happy 12 year senior.

Andrea and her family were so welcoming to Birdie. Birdie and I have a bit of separation anxiety, but Andrea was great about checking in with me periodically and sending me photos. I would definitely leave birdie with them again!
Andrea did a great job dealing with my two larger, high energy and anxious dogs. Definitely will use her services again.
My senior lab, Louie, loves to see Andrea and her sweet dogs Roland and Bergy! We've done daycare and boarding (3 days, 2 nights) and he always returns home happy. I especially appreciate her loving attention and patience with him because he's a gentle, affectionate old guy that's losing strength in his back legs. The pictures she sends of Louie nuzzling her on the couch and walking outside with Bergy in her beautiful yard say it all. Thank you - we will certainly be back!
Andrea was extremely understanding and caring for our rescue dog Molly, who is extremely timid when she meets anyone new. I will definitely call Andrea again in future!

I understand that routine and comfort (for both your pet and yourself) are important when providing services. In terms of scheduling drop in visits, I also understand that having a stranger enter your home without you present may feel uncomfortable. Please feel assured that I always treat people, animals, and their homes with dignity and respect. I follow any instructions that will make sure you and your pet are at ease and feel safe. This includes anything from leash walking to crating, or adhering to any type of rewards based system you might have in place. Of course, it will always include showering your animal with good old fashioned love!

It would be helpful for me to know if your dog is immediately comfortable around new people or if we’ll need some time to get to know each other. How your dog behaves around other animals is also helpful. Additionally any routine behaviors that will put your dog at ease (a certain kind of treat after walks or potty breaks for example) will allow me to provide seamless care and make sure they feel safe. For boarding and day care, your dog must get along with other dogs and do well around kids.
A typical day
Whether your dogs are in need of a 4 mile hike or a snuggle session on the couch (or something in between) I’m happy to accommodate! My favorite spots to go are the Boulders in Dalton, Kennedy Park in Lenox, or the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail. I’m also happy to have your pooch show me around his or her own neighborhood or backyard.

Availability
I work remotely which allows me to be available full time for house sitting services—as long as you have a reliable wifi connection—and also allows for flexibility if you need a drop in visit for your kitty. My schedule typically allows me the opportunity to schedule out in advance, or even provide next day service. However, if you require next day service please note that I may ask you for an up-charge in order for me to prioritize and arrange your accommodations.
