Pet care experience
I'm the lady that goes to the party and hangs out with the dog. Since I lost my best mutt buddy to cancer three years ago, I've been volunteering regularly at Pasado's Safe Haven to get my fill of animal love. I work with farm animals as well as all sizes and breeds of dogs. In fact, I feel a special affinity for the so-called "bully" breeds, and I firmly believe that there are no bad dogs. I understand that all dogs have different needs and personalities, and their care should be personalized accordingly. My own dog was deaf and required a special diet and regular medications, so I am comfortable dealing with a range of care tasks. I will work with you to learn about your dog's exercise, medical, and emotional needs so that you can rest assured that you will come home to a relaxed and happy dog.

Andrea was so great with both our shy and introverted rescue dog and our cuddly old cat. She is clearly a true dog lover and is a calm and kind human being. We look forward to booking her again!
Andrea is the best!! We cannot say enough great things about her and are so happy we chose her to watch our 4 month old puppy while we were away during the holidays! She was extremely attentive, understanding and flexible throughout the whole engagement. She met with us and our puppy (Rocky) at our home a few weeks before we left which was really helpful to go over specific questions. While we were away, she brought him on daily walks (even in the cold!), played games with him and brought him to a puppy socialization class!! She seriously went above and beyond! Our puppy is so young and we were really worried to leave him for 10+ days but we are thrilled to have left him in great hands! She texted us pictures and videos, and provided regular updates. When we returned, you could tell Rocky was missing Andrea!
Andrea is one of the most honest and caring people I know. She has vast experience caring for animals of all kinds. She adopted a senior dog and gave him a great senior age experience as well as a caring and kind end to life. She volunteers at a "no kill" shelter, caring for goats, dogs, cats, pigs, etc. She is someone who will put your pet's care first, and you can trust her to provide quiet 1 on 1 care for your pet in your own home.
Andrea has proven herself time and again to be a trusted and valuable volunteer at our sanctuary. She is familiar and works all areas of the sanctuary including farm and dogs. Andrea has been working with our dogs - most of whom come from abuse and/or neglect cases - and is loved by the dogs, staff, and other volunteers. I would highly recommend Andrea as a dog sitter to anyone. You'd be lucky to have her!
