Pet care experience
I have worked as a dog sitter for families since 2013 when I was in college at University of Texas at Austin. I have babysat pups in their own homes and also brought them over to my house as preferred by my clients. I have experience with puppies, young adults and elderly dogs. I will take care of your furbaby as if it were my own. I will communicate with you at all times and send you videos and pictures of your pets while I am with them. With all of my services, I want to ensure my clients feel comfortable and assured that their pet will be in a safe and loving environment. Being a mom of two dogs, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to take good care of your furbabies. I currently own a 4 year old mini schnauzer named Kahlua and a 1.5 year old mini schnauzer named Malibu. Kahlua and Malibu love to play with other dogs their size! I am currently a full time medical student (4th year) at UTRGV School of Medicine. Depending on my rotation and schedule, I can be at home doing online work. I update my calendar often to reflect my current availability. Feel free to ask me any questions! I have a fenced patio and a large neighborhood to walk around. In my backyard the dogs can have fun and run around. We have lots of shade with big trees in the yard. I usually sit outside with them and play games with their toys. I have a dog screen on my door so the dogs can come in and out of the yard as they please.

Andrea was so caring to Pepita and Yoko who loved her right away. She asked a lot of great questions to get to know them and their habits. She watched them when I had to leave town and I felt very relieved she was able to help me out! Pups were happy and enjoyed their time with Andrea.

I’d like to know how friendly the animal is to strangers and if they have had all of their vaccines (and up to date). It would be important for me to know if your dog has any triggers or has any behavioral issues. Let me know what your expectations are for your pets so we can be on the same page.
A typical day
I usually take dogs to a park, or we walk around the neighborhood. We will play fetch, frisbee, and reward good behavior with treats! We will cuddle if the pup is tired or wants a lazy day as well. I try to match the energy of the dog and ensure their comfort at all times.
