Work-from-home dog lover!
Pet care experience
I’ve loved animals all my life, having grown up riding horses and taking care of my childhood cats. I’ve dog sat for friends and family since I was 11, ranging from young puppies to senior dogs, large breeds and small. I only take one client at a time and find joy in treating your pet like my own!
Reviews
Andrea took excellent care of our Margo, gave regular detailed updates that we really appreciated and overall did a great job communicating. Would have her watch Margo again in a heartbeat!
Andrea is simply a wonderful house sitter. My dog Lucy recognizes her and loves her every time Andrea cares for her. Lucy loves to sleep and cuddle with Andrea and enjoys her walks with her, which gives me huge peace of mind when I am away. Andrea is great with special circumstances like giving medication on a schedule and following any other unusual guidelines. (Lucy had a tooth pulled a few days before Andrea came and was on a 14-day restriction from treats and toys as well as on pain killers.) Andrea was also great about sending me pictures and videos of Lucy in the mornings and evenings and sometimes in between, along with accounts of the day, walks, etc. As before, I recommend Andrea enthusiastically and will certainly use her again.
Andrea is so incredible with dogs and is such a responsible and trustworthy sitter! Our dog has separation anxiety and hasn’t spent much time staying overnight without us— Andrea made us (and our pup!) feel so at ease! He’s very high energy but she took him on lots of walks, frequent playtime, and was SO communicative and sent photos throughout. I’m a really tough critic with dogs, and I would highly recommend Andrea to anyone if you want great care your pup!
We always trust Andrea with our pittie! She is super communicative and such an animal lover.

There is plenty of space in my apartment for dog beds and/or a crate. Dogs are welcome on the couch, but not on the bed. I do not have a yard but I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate potty breaks as needed. I love taking photos and will be sure to send you frequent updates!

Information Andrea M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know how I can best care for your dog! Any walking preferences, training commands you’re working on with them, and/or behaviors I should keep an eye on. As I work from home, it is important that your dog be able to settle without constant attention in between walks and playtime. For boarding stays, I prefer crate-trained dogs so that I know they are safe if I need to leave home for a short while. If your dog requires constant care (ie: cannot be left alone for several hours) I may be able to accommodate based on my schedule for the date(s) requested. Please be aware that this type of stay will be subject to my constant care rate (listed as my puppy rate).
A typical day
I live close to the water and the presidio so have ample places to take your dog on fun, enriching adventures. My work from home schedule is flexible so I love to start and end my day with walks. For weekday daycare visits, I will take your dog on a longer walk during lunchtime, and a quicker afternoon/evening potty break. For boarding visits, during the weekdays I will do a short morning walk, longer lunchtime walk, short evening walk and potty breaks as needed. On the weekends I love to explore the city on foot as well as go hiking in Marin on dog-friendly trails. If your pet has specific exercise needs, I can be flexible; please let me know ahead of finalizing the booking so that I can confirm whether or not I can accommodate!
