Vet assistant w/ plenty experience!

Pet care experience

Hey!! My name is Andrea and I’ve been in the animal care field for about four years now. My career started by working at different animal boarding facilities and doggy daycares, and then I slowly made my way up to working as a vet assistant. I have various knowledge when it comes to animal handling and reading body language. In addition to this, I am also fear-free certified, meaning that I have the proper training to make sure your pet is as comfortable and less anxious as possible. Rest assured that if you have an energetic pup they will be all tuckered out by the time I get done with them! I believe that physical and mental stimulation is very important for dogs so I love to run around and play with them to get their energy out!

Andrea is the best! Went above and beyond! Accommodating, communicative. Asks about your puppy’s needs and what supplies you’re bringing and she also has some of her own. She kept me updated on if he was eating and his walks and mealtimes. And she’s super sweet! 1000% recommend 😊😊

Andrea was excellent with caring for my senior baby who has congestive heart failure and is on medication that makes him go to the bathroom at lot. He can be very high maintenance at times and she cared for him with love and professionalism. I had no worries about him while in her care. She is easy to communicate with and very responsive. She sent me pictures that reassured me that he was comfortable. We had travel delays and she was very patient and understanding about us picking him up an hour or so later than scheduled. I highly recommend her and would book with her again without hesitation. She even washed his belongings and he smells like she even bathed him. I’m very happy with her services!

Andrea was absolutely great! She will be Sammies constant sitter for whenever I'm out of town or need her drop in services. She was on time and went above and beyond. She provided me with great feedback on Sammie and even sent pics. If I could give her 10✨️ I would.

Safety, trust & environment

I understand that animals (particularly dogs) need a lot of energy release and mental stimulation, so I like to take my dogs to the dog park in my apartment complex that is almost always empty and just run around with them for a few hours. I have two very friendly dogs in my household, and an extra room to keep them separated if requested.

Please let me know of any behavioral issues your dog may have, whether that be food aggression or cage aggression, and I would also like to know if your pet has any dietary restrictions.

A typical day

A typical day for your dog would first start off with a solid breakfast, next they would take a short rest to let their food digest right before going on a nice calm walk around the neighborhood. During down time I love to give treats and possibly work on some basic training commands like ‘sit’ or ‘give paw’. Next I like to chill out for a bit and later in the day take them to the dog park with a few toys to run around with. For my more calmer/ senior dogs I may opt out of taking them to a dog park and instead provide extra walks and a lick mat to keep them calm but busy.
