Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Andrea. I am a new grad RN that started dog sitting as a side hustle during college and honestly fell in love with it! so I decided to continue to do it even with my career. I have had many jobs over the past 4 years or so, and they have all been so great. I love getting to help out people with their pets. I have 2 dogs of my own, a shihtzu and a blue heeler. I grew up having cats as well, but my dogs do not get along with them so don’t have any now! I have experience giving insulin injections and administering oral meds to both dogs and cats. I do my best to give the best care to the pets I watch and communicate with the owners very openly while watching their pets!

Andrea did a great job. This was my first time using her for a cat drop-in & feeding while we were gone. She’s my new go-to Rover person!
Andrea was wonderful. This is the first time we used this service and could not have ask for more. She sent us updates and pictures thru out the day and then updated us concerning storm damage while we were gone. The dogs loved her and were well taken care of. Such a blessing.

When going into the dogs home, I will be calm and talk to them in a soft tone so they can get comfortable with me. I will work around the dog and what they are comfortable with and let them warm up to me.

I would like to know how the dog will react to me meeting him/her for the first time, and what the dog’s temperament is like so I can be prepared. I would also like to know what the ground rules are for each dog so I can know what is and what is not allowed while I am watching him/her. I really do not have any breed preferences, I will watch any breed of dog. Please let me know if there’s anything special you’d like me to do with your dog!
A typical day
I love to take dogs for walks on trails or at parks. The dogs always enjoy it because it is a change of scenery and there is a lot for them to see and explore!

Availability
My schedule varies depending on the week. I currently work at a hospital 3 nights a week 7pm-7am, so I still have a lot of free time to pet sit! I try to keep my calendar updated as best I can.
