Pet care experience
I’m happy to help with all your pet care needs, all with love and lots of positive reinforcement! I offer a great special deal for regular clients who require service 3-5 days weekly! Book now, space is limited! In addition to petsitting, dog walks, and drop ins, I also offer pet waste cleanup, and private training sessions! I have worked now with around 100 dogs and I am now confident I can work with any dog or specific issue. If you’d like any of my additional services, please request the drop-in and include which service you’re requesting in your message. I am unable to work with prong or ecollars as I’ve never needed these tools. Flat martingale is what works for me. I am non-judgemental so whatever mistakes you’ve made are in the past. I’m only interested in moving forward and growing with you and your pet. Currently pet First Aid & CPR certified, scored 98% on the final exam, and my dog, Dezi, got a certificate of achievement for completing the course as one of the demo dogs. Dezi has also saved my life from a bear up north, and we are currently working towards achieving the K9 Security Dog Standard for Security Worker Protection, as outlined by the JIBC. I was formerly a certified Security Guard in Ontario w Nighthawk Security! Please don’t let this intimidate you! My dog is an absolute angel and has interacted positively with all walks of life, from my sister’s 2lb teacup chihuahua, to elderly Portuguese Water Dogs, he loves everyone and plays super nicely! He is only introduced when and if appropriate.

Thank you so much for helping out on such short notice. I really appreciate the time and attention you give Abby. 💕
Andrea was wonderful. Came to meet us prior to our vacation, and was so gentle with Abby. Andrea sent us lots of photos and gave us updates, which reassured us that we had left Abby in good hands. Thank you so much!
Andrea was amazing with my dog Kaiser! I was nervous about leaving him alone for the first time with a sitter as he’s quite anxious. She took really good care of him and went above and beyond by doing training exercises with him. I felt reassured to know that he was in good hands. Would recommend 100%!
Andrea is a gem of a find. She is passionate about what she does. Not only is she clearly experienced, she has a natural talent and ability to read animals and bring the best out of them. She had a stubborn Scottish terrier wrapped around her finger within no time!

My dog comes with me everywhere, if your dog needs his own separate space my fur-baby is perfectly at home in the camper, or outdoors if space/weather allows, while I care for your pet(s).
Information Andrea H. would like to know about your pet
Dog Walking & Drop-In: I’d love to know more about your pet, no detail is too small and sometimes it’s the little things that can make a pet feel most comfortable, are they friendly, what’s their age/energy level, games they enjoy, do they know basic obedience, any obedience issues I can help with, dietary restrictions (aka can I give treats), health issues, special instructions or activities? Any preferred walking route or local spots they like, any activities, such as fetch, or games they like to play during outings? Additionally, for Petsitting: What are the feeding times and amounts? When do they typically need to be let out or walked? Are there any housesitting responsibilities in addition to pet care? Any additional pets in the home and their detailed instructions? Each pet scenario is different, some clients prefer I stay at the home unless I have errands, others prefer 3-4 check-ins with one being a longer walk/playtime. It’s important to know exactly what ideal pet care looks like to you and I appreciate your patience in explaining everything to me. I may even take notes. After we complete a complimentary meet and greet, I may adjust the price to suit your needs, and you may even save some money! Is there anything else I should know? I’d greatly appreciate any constructive feedback and/or ideas on how I can improve.
A typical day
There is no such thing as a typical day with me, my pup and I are always on the move, we are free spirits who view life as an adventure! My dog plays a little game I call “Search & Rescue” where I hide 3 scented toy squirrels and he finds each one and brings it back to me and leaves it. He also enjoys tug/leave it, and the flirt pole. Every dog is different so whatever games your dog enjoys are what I’d play with them. I’ve had many types of dogs and know lots of fun games for different breed types!
Services
Andrea can watch in your home
Availability
My pup and I live in our custom-built (and climate regulated) micro camper full time (by choice) so I’m happy to park at your property to be available to your pets, as well as keep an eye on things, or just check-in on your pup throughout the day. I can sleep inside if need be, or preferably in the Van with my dog, but he’s fine overnight on his own. Early mornings and late evenings are no issue. I’m happy to follow your instructions and be flexible. Each household is different and your home is your rules.
