Hello! Since you’ll be putting your pet in my care I know how important it is to know what kind of person is keeping them company. To start with my personal life, I am a college student studying psychology and I am in my last semester! I’ve always loved animals and even wanted to be a vet when I was little. I started rover November 2018 and have had a good amount of experience with taking care of dogs and cats of all ages, personalities and health backgrounds. I’ve met so many sweet and loving cats and dogs that always become the highlight of my day. I have many years of experience with both dogs and cats (Ive had 7 cats in my lifetime and 1 dog) and currently live with 1 senior cat. I also have experience with administering meds orally and with a needle (I had a diabetic cat and I’ve taken care of cats who’ve needed meds). I’ve grown up around cats my whole life and don’t remember a time where there wasn’t a cat in the house! I got my first dog when I was 10 and loved her so much. Unfortunately she passed away in 2017 and it was very hard for me, but thankfully I had my cats around to help me! Being able to work with dogs and cats makes me so happy and has helped me so much with the passing of my dog. I always do everything thinking of her. As for availability, I am free most days (as displayed on my calendar) My schedule changes every week, but I’m free at some point during the day most days.(you could ask me if anything!) some days I will be home all day, some days I can be working. I had a beautiful, tiny maltese named Lilly for 9 years and I treated her like my baby since I was 10 years old. Whether it was taking her to the vet, going for a walk, or just having play time at home, I always cherished the time we had together and treated each moment as an adventure even if it was a simple task. From howling to running, quality time with her. As for dogs besides my own, I’ve had experience with dogs of all ages, caring for small, medium and big dogs. Tasks included walking, feeding, cleaning up, playing. - Have a Cat? As for cats, I’ve lived with cats my entire life and currently own 1 cat who has been with me for 15 years. I understand that cats have different personalities and will cater to your cat in a unique way, conforming to its likings. All 4 of my most recent cats were very different. Though 2 of them have passed and 1 is currently with my brother, I still like to keep the memory of them alive. That being said, one is outgoing and super friendly, one was so shy, but the most lovable cat ever, and my last one is a bit sassy, but has such a kind heart. My only boy was diabetic so I had to inject insulin for him every day. - Administering Medication I am able to administer medication for your pet. I am not professionally trained in any of these areas, but I have experience with needle injections, oral injections, and pills. I have administered medications for my own pets and other clients’ pets. If your pet is hard to handle, please let me know. We may be able set up a test run and avoid any possible issues.
