Pet care experience
I started as a pet sitter for my family and friends when I was 15 but have loved learning about animals before then. I am a veterinary assistant and was a dog nanny for over a year and I am looking to get back into pet sitting. I have an elderly chihuahua but have worked with small animals, dogs, cats and even reptiles. I administer medications and can cater to most special needs any animal or pet owner has!

Andrea has been a long time personal pet sitter for me and I'm exhilarated to hear that she's expanding her time and energy for more pet parents in need of a sitter. She has always been passionate for as long as I've known her. She also previously worked in a vet clinic, meaning not only is she experienced in pet sitting but she is also knowledgeable with any extra/ special care that would be needed for our fur babies. She's even given me advice in the past with my own cat and dog that has helped me understand my pets better! Andrea has always cared and valued animals in a way that leaves a great impression and safety for my animals.

I don’t have a fenced in yard so I go on at least 3 long walks a day with my girl, but if your dog is not used to that schedule, I’m sure my girl wouldn’t mind extra time outside. I feed her 3 small meals a day so she doesn’t get too hungry but I also bring treats when walking to work on some obedience. My home is very dog friendly with lots of toys and dog beds in every room and of course they are allowed on the bed and couch.

It is super important that I know if your pup has any special needs or allergies or other things that make them uncomfortable. I prefer to care for dogs that get along with other dogs that are small to medium (under 30 pounds) since I have a chihuahua mix.
A typical day
I have several toys from stuffed plushies to tennis balls and rubber squeaky toys and even some puzzles if your dog is into that! I’m always running around the house with my girl throwing a ball or playing tug o war but she also adores other dogs and loves to play with them. If it’s a nice day or we all have jackets we could walk to the park near my house and play fetch or just sniff around and go for a long walk.

My days off are currently Mondays and Fridays and some Sundays but I am available for doggy day care from 8 am to 4 pm everyday.
