Andre is amazing and the best you’ll find. Andre has watched my puppy, Jasper, during the day for over a month. He provides exceptional and incomparable care and I couldn’t be happier. I first started using Rover to find sitters to watch Jasper during the day. Jasper was the runt of the litter and attacked by a large dog when he was eight weeks old. He had severe puncture wounds to his neck and spent weeks recovering. Because of his experience and small size, I was hesitant to leave him in a daycare facility with other dogs. I had been using the app for weeks, but it was difficult finding a consistent sitter. I was just looking for the basics— a safe environment and a kind person to provide food, water, and bathroom breaks while I was at work. That's mostly what you'll find on Rover, so I never even thought to expect someone like Andre. After reaching out and hearing about Jasper’s experience, Andre offered to do a meet and greet so we could see how his black lab, Nero, would interact with Jasper. Nero is impeccably trained with a great temperament. I instantly trusted them together and knew he'd be in great hands with Andre. I only hoped Jasper would adopt some of Nero’s traits by proxy. I didn't anticipate the amount of effort Andre would put into training Jasper. With the combination of Andre’s training and Nero’s role modeling, Jasper has exceeded what I thought was possible for puppy development. In only a few days, Jasper significantly improved in terms of sociability and intelligence. Andre reinforced house training, name recognition, and helped teach the basic commands (sit, down, focus, come, wait, paw, etc.). Jasper attends puppy training classes weekly and has quickly become the most advanced in class (outdoing the older puppies). Thanks to Andre, Jasper frequently knows the commands well before the instructor's lesson plan. The most important and potentially lifesaving skill Andre taught Jasper was not to run into the street. Jasper will not follow or step off the curb without approval. When I was a kid, I lost my dog after he ran into traffic. At our meet and greet, I noticed Nero would not step into the street. He wanted to follow Jasper into the parking lot but remained on the grass. I’m beyond grateful and appreciative of the work Andre has done to teach him something that could save his life one day. In this alone, Andre has been a great blessing and I'm beyond grateful and appreciative. He’s only four months, but I can trust Jasper off-leash in public. Andre spent days teaching Jasper to “wait,” and we can walk away from him (nearly 100 yards now) without him following. He also learned to cross the street safely and to run when crossing. I can tell him to wait on the sidewalk, cross the street, and trust he'll stay until I signal it's safe for him to cross on his own. It's amazing. In the coming stays, Andre is teaching him "left" and "right." Most of my friends and family have said they've never seen such a young puppy so well-trained. This is ALL Andre. He is a dog whisperer and very knowledgeable of dog behaviors body language. He cooks healthy food for my puppy and treats him like he's his own. It’s obvious he takes great pride and enjoyment in teaching dogs. He’s responsible, responsive, and always sends updates of their adventures to the park or beach, rain or shine. I know Jasper loves spending his days with Andre and his best friend, Nero. He comes home completely exhausted and continues to play with them in his dreams. I highly recommend Andre—it's one the best decisions you'll make.
