Pet care experience
I’ve owned animals for almost my entire life. I am now a certified veterinary assistant which means I have no problem caring for dogs with special needs. I have experience volunteering at CALM where I cleaned wild animal pens and engaged in general animal husbandry. I have experience volunteering with Streets of Bakersfield at Kern County Animal Services where I take a shelter dog out of their kennel for the day. I also have experience interning at Cooke’s Veterinary Hospital where I often interact with patients, help with nail trims, shave down animals, administer medications and engage in general veterinary care. In addition, I have experience pet sitting for my cousin where I watched, played with, and fed their two golden retrievers. I also have grooming experience with the veterinary technology program at ROC. I also train and show dogs with my junior handlers club.

Andie was absolutely fantastic. She is reliable, respondse instantly, keeps you informed and goes beyond the extra mile. Andie first scheduled a meet and greet and then house sat our dog Emma over the 4th of July holiday. She gave Emma constant individual attention and even bought her a toy. She took her on rides and let Emma sleep next to her. Emma was a very happy girl when we got back and our apartment in perfect condition. She also has a clear love for animals and cares deeply for them. I would absolutely recommend Andie.

I have a multitude of leashes and backup leashes that I can use to ensure that your pet doesn’t get hurt or lost during their walks. I also have experience with identifying animal behavior and with difficult dogs so behavior problems are not a big deal to me. There’s honestly no worry when you’re putting your animal in my care.

Let me know if your dog has any behavioral issues that I should be aware of. Although I am okay and will accept dogs that are a little bit naughty, it’s important to know so I can be prepared. Also let me know if your dog has any food allergies or if you simply don’t want me to feed your dog any treats.

My car is full of toys for your dog to play with. I also have treats and happen to know many enjoyable dog walking places.

I am a college student which means I have limited free time although I mainly have morning classes. I often find time within my schedule to care for my dog which means I have no issue fitting pet care into my schedule.
