Pet care experience
I grew up with cats and dogs (and horses, chickens, mice, ferrets, lizards, fish...) I've done long term care, for a month or more, for several dogs and cats in their homes. I've also cared for many animals sporadically--I'm always the person asking to "borrow" my friend's dogs when they go out of town. I've got no trouble medicating cats or accommodating doggie anxieties.

There are few people who love animals as much as Andie. She will probably treat your pet better than you do! She works in an office filled with dogs, but she still can't get enough. She's taken excellent care of my cat while I was out of town and has even taken my cat to the vet when I wasn't able to. She tolerated living with my less than perfectly behaved cat, but my cat's behavior improved, probably thanks to her! My cat takes medication and she didn't forget to mix it with her food. Definitely trust her with your pets.

Because I live with allergy-sufferers, I can only offer care in your home. I will be very attentive about keeping your home tidy and secure on my visits. I have a calm demeanor, and am generally well accepted by cats and dogs. I can offer them a cozy lap for taking a nap or a safe presence to guide them on a walk.

A typical day
I'll let your and your dog's preferences guide me. For dogs that love swimming as much as I do, I would enjoy taking them to a beach or swimming hole. I also love woods walks with all the many smells for us both to enjoy. I'm also game to play catch in the yard or go for a (light) jog to accommodate sporty dogs! For cats, I can cuddle or bring a laser pointer.

Availability
I work from home and have flexibility to do walks and drop-in visits almost anytime during the work week. I prefer to keep my weekends free for family time, but I'm open to occasional weekend visits.
