I’ve pet and house sat for friends and family since I was young, worked in a pet store primarily with dogs and cats, and have owned two dogs and a cat. While pet/house sitting, we go for walks, get fed, and gave medications to the animals if needed. I try to keep them on the same schedule that they’re used to if at all possible. Pretty routine! I have my own daily routine with my dog before and after work. I have a doggy door that she uses while I’m gone and then we go on walks and play in the evening. I do have a full time job that is Monday through Thursday 8-5 and Fridays 8-12. Weekend, if I’m in town, are usually spent at home in my backyard or trucking my dog around and spending time with her and my fiancé. I can make sure that your pets have food and/or water available, all doors and gates are locked or closed before I leave, and that all your pets needs are met while I’m there. If you’re boarding with me, I can crate your dog while I’m at work if that’s what they’re used to. My fiancé typically comes home for lunch and can let the dogs out in my fenced backyard to play and go potty before having to come back inside when he goes back to work.
