I am an animal enthusiast with a lifetime of experience. From a young age I had an affinity for all animals and always wanted a career working with them. I grew up on a horse farm in Kentucky and volunteered at a Petting Zoo & Farm for 7 years. In 2007, I started working at a small animal vet office and found my calling. I moved to North Carolina for college and got my associate's degree in veterinary technology in 2010. I have worked in small animal, emergency, and speciality surgery. I have also managed and ran a boarding facility & doggie daycare for 3 years. I have an interest in animal behavior. I enjoy caring for all animals. You're furry loved one will be in good hands

My babies loved their visit with Anastasia! I felt 100% at ease leaving them in her care!
Anastasia was amazing! It was our first time using Rover and it could not have been better. We left our dog with her for 10 days when we went on a long vacation. She checked in nightly with a picture and an update. Our dog was having a hot spot develop but she took great care of the area and it didn't get any worse. Having a sitter who also works as a vet tech is a major Plus! We know how we will board our dog next time we head out of town!
I feel like Anastasia treated my dog like one of her own pets! She was very kind and very attentive to my dogs needs. Anastasia also sent us a lot of photos while we were away and I loved that! I would definitely rebook with Anastasia again!

I can provide a crate for your pet while staying with me. Pets will only be crated at night, during meal time, and while I am at work. Adult canines may not be crated as long as they are not destructive and are fully house trained. Puppies will be required to be crated when supervision is not possible. I have a 10 yr old lovable and friendly chocolate lab. She will keep your fur-baby company and entertained during their stay. While visiting your home, I'll shower your pet with affection and attention. I monitor their water/food intake, and update owners of their pets overall well-being. I implement fear free techniques to make your pet as comfortable as possible with me.

Is s/he vaccinated for distemper/parvo, rabies, and bordetella? Have they ever bitten another person or animal (please note I ask this so I can better approach your pet by becoming aware of circumstances that may make them uncomfortable.) Have s/he ever been around children? Do they have any phobias (storms, loud noises, hats, men or women)? What commands do they know? Any allergies? Any bad habits or unwanted behaviors that I should be aware of? (Jumping up, mouthy while playing, chewing socks, hair ties, chasing cars, etc)
A typical day
All pets staying with me are treated like another member of our family. You will find comfort knowing your furry loved one is getting lots of love with frequent walks and time outside. Do they like to play fetch, chase a laser pointer, chew on a squeaky toy? We will play it all.

Availability
I'm currently working full-time at a veterinary clinic. I am able to come home for lunch to check on and take out any k‐9 guest for a potty break. Your pet will get the opportunity to go outside frequently and spend time playing either in our front yard or fenced-in backyard.
