Grew up surrounded by animals in Somerset!
Pet care experience
My parents ran a kennels and cattery in Somerset, so I grew up helping walk dogs and fussing over cats! We always had dogs and cats of our own, so I'm comfortable with all breeds, sizes, ages, and temprements. For the last 6 years I've worked on cruise ships, and in between those contracts (4 months on, 2 months off) I've taken house sitting assignments in Spain, France, Germany, the US and the UK through Mind My House and Trusted Housesitters, and loved every minute of it! Now back in the UK, I'm looking to develop my online businesses which means I can work from my laptop wherever I fancy! A house without pets just doesn't feel right, so I'd love to use my time to take care of animals, and have an excuse to go out for country walks. I will be sure to stick to all the routines your pets are accustomed to, be it what time they get up in the morning, what walks they love the most or what sort of music they prefer to have on in the background!

Max loved his day with Anastasia, he had lots of cuddles and went for a long walk on the mendips along with her dog, Oscar, who is also a pug. We were very pleased with the way she looked after and cared for Max and we will definately use her again, highly recommended
Anastasia is wonderful! I immediately felt comfortable leaving the pups with her. She was fantastic with our senior pup, that has multiple health issues including back problems, and we could tell the pups had a great time. I will definitely be booking Anastasia again.
Annie is a lovely person. Very natural with dogs especially our very nervous spaniel. The dogs really loved her. Would highly recommended Annie she’s fabulous! X
Anastasia is een zeer verantwoordelijke en zeer zeker een liefdevolle hondenverzorgster Gedurende twee weken in juni 2021 had zij de verantwoordelijkheid over onze twee honden (mastin espagnol en poedel). Tevens verzorgde zij onze drie kippen en onderhield zij onze woning en tuin in Albondon (Spanje).Zij is ervaren in de omgang met honden: is kordaat, liefdevol en besteed de nodige aandacht aan de honden(lange wandelingen en het inlassen van vele speelmomenten). Bovendien besteed zij ook veel aandacht aan de verzorging van de honden (borstelen en het tijdig geven van voeding). Anastasia is dus zeker een aanrader voor toekomstige cliënten. Kortweg ze is een AANRADER. Wij zullen in de toekomst zeker nog gebruik maken van haar diensten.

Most important is how they are with other animals. I will always keep the dogs on their lead on walks in any case, or at least until I can be sure that they will respond to recall from me. Any phobias or scenarios that spook them-traffic, children etc., medication and allergies. And it sounds obvious but your routine with them. I want to be able to give your dog the best time possible, and that will involve me keeping their routine going as much as possible.
A typical day
Of course, I'll follow your lead on this as every dog is different, but I love long interesting walks. Maybe to the beach, over the Mendips or one of the fabulous parks in and around the area. Tug of war or a Chuck It are classics if they need tiring out! Lots of cuddles on the sofa (when it's allowed!) and constant conversation...even if it does look a bit odd.
