Anastasia has been taking care of our wonderful yellow lab Rex for most of the last fifteen years. Yes, Rex celebrated his fifteenth birthday a few weeks ago. Anastasia's help has been critical over these years as our jobs have required us to be away from home several months at a time. And boarding Rex for so long would obviously be a huge issue. Along with keeping him company, feeding and walking him several times a day, Anastasia has taken care of a number of Rex's medical problems - - running him back and forth to the vet, deciding on the most appropriate treatments with the vet , giving him his pills and applying numerous ointments for his allergies and hot spots. This has become especially important the past couple of years as Rex's health has deteriorated and he's needed help with his severe arthritic condition and seasonal allergies. Beyond Rex, she absolutely loves all dogs. In fact, whenever we pass by an animal shelter, she insists on stopping in to see what dogs they have and to play with them. She has also volunteered at one of the animal shelters. Overall, she values her experiences with dogs so much, that whenever she's having a bad day, all it takes is a few minutes playtime with Rex or one of the neighbors' dogs and everything is good again.
