I have grown up with a dog since the age of 9 and was responsible for caring for him and teaching him the basic commands. I was patient and practiced with him every day until he mastered a skill. He is currently a very healthy and happy 12-year-old dog so I think I must have done something right. This summer (2019), my brother got a new puppy so I had the chance to re-experience puppyhood as an adult and learn how to deal with their nipping and never-ending energy. I had the opportunity to teach him some basic commands and try some new energy-burning techniques. I don't have any professional skills or knowledge but I have read my fair share of dog training/caring books plus I am currently studying animal behaviour so I have a good grasp on the dog mind. I can read body language and often quickly realise what a dog may want or need. I treat each animal as if it were my own and put my heart and soul into caring for our furry companions.
