Experienced Pet Lover

Pet care experience

NOW BOARDING IN VERMONT! I currently offer boarding at my home as well as daycare in the form of pack walks of 4-5 dogs. Boarding is limited to two dogs at a time, allowing me to care for them as if they were my own. There are miles of wooded trails at my home, as well as a swim pond, doggie paradise. Pack walks happen on Monday through Thursday at hiking trails in the Brattleboro and Wilmington areas. I pick up and drop off dogs either at home or at a designated meeting area and hike for several hours. I started pet sitting at a very young age, taking care of my neighbors’ dogs and cats when they were away. Because this brought me so much joy, I got a job at a boarding kennel when I was in high school, and worked there for four years. In that time I got experience with different temperaments and breeds of dogs. I also did in-home pet sitting and dog walking for several years with a locally established business. I am experienced with administering meds, behavioral issues, leash walking, basic training and grooming. In my early 20s, I got my first dog, Mendi, who became my best friend and biggest teacher. He was a rescue border collie mix… high energy, abused, and very anxious. I had a lot of difficulty with him. I began to study various forms of training and Mendi and I managed to through our challenges. I learned how to be a confident leader for my dog, which in turn calmed him down and created an unbreakable bond between us. My current dog Riley was so fun to train, and we found our unbreakable bond when we hiked the Long Trail together. She has been my companion for over four years, joining me on many short and long term dog sits. She is a fantastic assistant when doing basic training, and has helped me teach many dogs impulse control and off leash etiquette.

Our pup had an amazing stay with Ana! We received regular updates with pictures which are always appreciated. Ana provided excellent care and made us feel at peace while away. We’re thrilled to have found such a caring sitter and will definitely book with her again in the future!

Ana is amazing! She is super down to earth and easy going. She made our first vacation away from our puppy super easy, we missed him but never worried about him. She sent updates with pictures that made us feel at ease. The dogs that she has there were just as helpful as she was :) there was a few minutes of sniffin then off to the races for 4 days! 10 outta 10 Ana will be our number choice again in the future.

Ana was amazing at taking care of our dog while we were away! She took the time to get to know our dog’s personality and we loved getting pics and updates throughout the weekend. Would recommend to anyone.
