Family sitting makes happy pets
Pet care experience
I am a certified dog groomer, canine CPR certified and have experience working in both dog boarding and animal shelter day cares. I no longer groom professionally, as it's hard on the body, but would like to continue enjoying dogs, especially since I do not have pets anymore. In your home, I like to maintain light housekeeping so you return as if no one was there. I will bring in the mail and any packages that arrive. I prefer to stay away from dog beaches and dog parks while you are away to minimize risks of them running off or getting injured on my watch. I am happy to walk them around your neighborhood and give plenty of affection and play time in the comfort of their own home. I come with my family of three. This benefits dogs who live in families already and thrive on the social dynamic of always having someone around, guaranteed daily walks and exercise. It ensures they have all the attention their family provides and encourages them to have fun while their family is away. Family walks are the most fun in my opinion!
Reviews
I can highly recommend Ana. This was our first time using Rover, and we had to travel to Canada. She was on time and very communicative. She sent us regular updates and photos, and I think our littlest dog especially had the time of his life! Our pets were well cared for and happy when we returned.
Ana was amazing! This was our first time using her and she was so professional and took such good care of our bulldog! I would absolutely recommend and will be using her again for sure!
Can’t say enough good things about Ana! She took incredible care of our cats and even took care of our new pet chicken while we were gone! Did a couple things around the house that I asked her to and when we got home from our midnight flight she even did our sheets and made our bed …… Ana is stuck with us now !
Ana did a wonderful job with our 4 month old puppy. She made sure she kept him on schedule in order to keep up with his potty training. She was very responsive and kept me updated with pictures and texts about how he was doing. We would definitely use Ana again!

I ask clients what their dog's routine is and I adjust to that. I don't take dogs to public places unless I know you and your dog well. Some dogs are already used to that lifestyle and others are not. I respect what you and your dog already know and are comfortable with. I will never challenge your dog to do anything out of the ordinary to ensure their safety. It is important to note that I do this for pure fun and enjoyment. I don't stay in neighborhoods that are unsafe, or where customers watch me on camera all day. I expect to have privacy as if I were in my own home and do not accept jobs that violate that. I love my home and neighborhood here in Lighthouse Point, so I don't need to leave my luxuries in exchange for my privacy. I understand property cameras outside, but I have done this work for so long now that I will only accept the best situations with open hearted people like my family and I. We are world travelers and love to connect with other good people and see petsitting as home away from home. We respect it like it is ours and believe in leaving things better than we found it.
Information Ana D. would like to know about your pet
I need to know if there is medication or any medical issues to watch out for like seizures or allergies. I need their primary vet information just in case as well as an emergency contact. Also, any odd personality quirks that may startle me, but isn't serious. For example, I petsat a dog who howled at the mail man every day and it always alarmed me that someone was trying to break in. Separation anxiety is also something I should know about and if there are any destructive behaviors that happen while alone. For example, a bulldog I petsat liked to dig through the bathroom trash. I learned to keep bathroom doors shut. What is your neighborhood like? Are neighbors friendly? Are there other neighborhood pets to look out for? Does your dog have leash reactivity? (Chasing lizards, barks at men or bicycles, etc).
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood and play time at home. If your yard is fenced in, we will enjoy time outside and coffee in the mornings on the patio.

Availability
I am a homemaker, so that ensures I am home with your pets, and keep them on their normal routines. As a family petsitting together, they will always have someone around, which is even better than what I provided as a single caretaker.
