Pet care experience
I've had pets since I was born - dogs, cats, parrots, hamsters, you name it 😅 I love all animals, but the majority of my experience has been with cats. I've lived in a multi-cat household for over 20 years, and in adulthood now care for 4 rescue cats. I'm lucky to have friends & family with dogs, who know me to be the first to volunteer for taking their pup for walks, play time, and cuddles. I foster cats through Annex Cat Rescue, and have experience with all sorts of kitties - nervous, high energy, and those requiring regular medications (pill & topical). Beyond personal experience, I studied animal behaviour in university as part of my psychology degree, which tends to come in handy when meeting new pets, especially more nervous ones :) I'm also Fear Free certified through the Toronto Humane Society, where I volunteer every week with their cats of all temperaments :)

Ana has always been fantastic with my cats. She is patient and observant, and has always made it clear that my pets are her number one priority whenever they are in her care. She is one of the only pet sitters that fully puts my mind at ease while I am away, and for that I strongly recommend her to others. You and your pets will not be disappointed!

For dogs - I'd love to take your fur baby for walks, play in the yard (if fenced) or inside, give food and any medication, and offer lots of snuggle/petting time based your doggo's needs. For cats - I'd love to build trust with your kitty through play & pets, as well as keep them happily fed, clean their litter box, and provide any medications as needed :)

I'd love to know about any special needs or preferences your pet has, including all the funny habits that make them unique (i.e. prefer to drink water out of the sink vs. A bowl)
A typical day
Both mental and physical stimulation are key! For cats - we'll play hunting games, fetch some treats, and snuggle ? For dogs - we'll walk around the neighborhood, play fetch in an enclosed area, and have loads of belly rubs!

Availability
I work from home full-time Mon-Fri, with open evenings & weekends. Evenings I'm available 6pm-midnight. Weekends I'm available all day (except for two Saturdays/month where I volunteer 9-5).
