Pet care experience
My childhood has been filled with pets, from Toppi the orange tabby to Remi the Maltichon, and my passion for helping animals made me realize that becoming a vet was my path. My experiences from working in vet hospitals, including Ocean State Veterinary Specialists, and caring for the pets of neighbors and friends have trained me to gain the trust of various pets and adjust to their every need. My veterinary education has made me attentive to all signs of health and in emergency cases when medical attention is necessary. I am a first-year student at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, and I am excited be learning so much!
Reviews
Amy is very conscientious and thorough! I felt like Huxley was in great hands entire time we were gone. She asked great questions that indicated to me she truly cared about his well being. Lots of updates and pics. Easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience! Very accommodating to our last minute plans. I appreciated all the updates, pictures and attention to detail. Milo was very clearly well taken care of since he almost didn’t want to leave😄 I felt very safe and comfortable leaving him with people who knew how to give him the right attention. Thank you for taking such good care of him! Will definitely book again!
Superb pet and house sitter. She updated us everyday and was always quick to respond. I would absolutely use Any again.
Amy was amazing with my little dog Willa, who is a special needs, senior dog who does not like to leave my side. Willa loved Amy! They made friends on the first day. I would highly recommend Amy to others and will definitely use her again. Thanks, Amy!

Safety, trust & environment
I am available to do both pet-sitting and boarding. When boarding, your beloved pet will have access to a large front yard and backyard, and we have a safe and quiet neighborhood for us to take enjoyable walks. Remi is our little white Maltichon who loves other pets, and we have lots of room in the house for them to run around and play. When pet-sitting in your home, I will respect all boundaries and instructions you set, and I will give your furry friend as much love as I would give my own pets.

Information Amy Y. would like to know about your pet
The essential gear and routines the pet is used to is important to know. Knowing the right gear, such as what type of collar a dog usually uses, allows me to properly prepare a pet for a walk. I would also like to learn about their triggers during walks and the best route to take. When pet-sitting or boarding, I try to learn as much as I can about what I can do to prepare the environment and support a smoother transition for your pet because dogs thrive on routine and predictability.
A typical day
With the dogs I watch, I love to play tug-of-war, fetch, or any other games the pet would like to play. I make sure to let the pets express all of their energy so that the hyperactivity can be channeled appropriately and they can easily have a good night's sleep. Om walks, my goal is always to surpass 1 mile for young, active dogs, but for senior dogs, I take it at their comfortable place. I will usually let the dogs lead because I'm sure they know their regular route more than I do, but if they start sniffing something they shouldn't or if a trigger catches their attention, I know to steer them away to safety.
