Pet care experience
I've been caring for pets, my own and others since I was three years old and held my first very own puppy while his eyes were still closed. Since then I have never not had at least one furry friend in my family. My beloved dog Bailey (a cocker beagle mix) lived until her 16th birthday, and was right there beside me during each of my three home births, and while each of my parents made their transitions in our home. Now I have Francis (aka "Frankie", a sweet and snorty Cavalier King Charles, who I have trained to be a therapy dog who works with kids (of all ages), and Luna, our tiny loving cat (and Frankie's bestie). I am also a part-time chiropractor, photographer, teacher, writer, and mother of three quickly growing kids (14, 18, and 21).

I’ve known Amelie for 15 years, through puppies, training, walks, snuggles, and saying goodbye to dogs, hers and mine. She will be sweet and kind to your pup, but also—Amelie is FUN. If your dog(s) want to play and explore, want to go fast, want to slowly meander, or want to tell those squirrels what’s what, this is your lady.
I was thankful to find Amelie for a last minute trip to watch our two dogs! One being a 5 month old puppy, so she needed a lot of extra attention and Amelie was able to to provide it while we were away. She sent text updates and even took some great photos of my fur babies in the beautiful fall leaves. I would ask Amelie to watch our pets again in a heartbeat!

A typical day
I typically work 4-6 hours/day— leaving plenty of time for walking my dogs 2-3x/day. We walk along the river, short hikes (Mt Tabor and Forest Park are favorites), dog parks (Laurelhurst, 1000 acres…), and have lots of cuddle time.

I am a chiropractor, artist, and photographer, self-employed and work part-time with a flexible schedule. I offer same day walks, evening, and weekend care as well.
