Pet care experience
I am an animal lover with over 40 years of experience caring for pets. Personally, I have been a dog mom to 4 large dogs (golden retrievers and bernese mountain dogs) and 3 small dogs (cocker spaniel, cavapoo, jack russell terrier). I enjoy long walks outside with our pups. We have also been pet parents to one cat, a cockatiel, 2 hamsters, and a chinchilla. I have not met a pet that I do not like. My family always calls me the pet whisperer! I am good with puppies and elderly pets alike. I have house trained, crate trained, and leash trained all our dogs. I am safety conscious, patient, and loving.

Amy was amazing with our animals while we were away! The dogs were very comfortable with her, and she had no trouble handing the rest of our animals … 2 tortoises, a rabbit, and many fish! She was in great contact and sent lots of cute pictures. We will definitely contact her again in the future!
Amy took such great care of our 3 pups for the weekend. Lots of walks and playtime with frequent pictures and updates. Would definitely recommend!!
Amy was amazing with my dogs. She is a dog whisperer! We have one senior jack russel, Phoebe, who is very finicky about her food and prone to separation anxiety. Amy sat with Phoebe on the floor and hand fed her. Amy also had no trouble sneaking Phoebe's pills into her food. Our other dog, Winnie, is prone to mats in her fur. With every visit, Amy she takes the time to brush Winnie out. Amy played with both dogs and spent time drying them off and brushing them out after a walk in the rain. Our dogs LOVE Amy. From the first moment she came into our house during the meet and greet our dogs were smitten! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone!
Amy is a true animal lover. We have used Amy as a dog walker and a pet sitter. Our dog, Scout, LOVES Amy! Scout is a large bernese mountain dog, and Amy had no trouble managing her on long walks. Amy has been an amazing pet sitter for our dog, cat, and chinchilla too. Amy treated our pets as if they were her own. She kept us updated with daily photos and texts while we were on vacation. Our elderly cat, Randall, has some health issues and needs that Amy easily accommodated. We adore Amy and our pets do too. We wouldn't hesitate to book Amy again!

A typical day
When you cannot be there, I will spend time in your home showering your pet(s) with love and attention. We can play with toys in the house or in the yard, we can take a walk (going on a sniffari), we can just spend time together on the couch...whatever your pet most desires.

Availability
During the school year, I am available most weekdays after 3:15pm. I am also available for early morning walks or pop-ins before 7:10am. On weekends, I am flexible and can usually work with your schedule. During the summer months and school vacations, I am available and flexible during all weekdays and weekends. I would love to fill my time caring for your pets.
