ABOUT US Hi, I'm Amy and my husband is John! We would love to be your dogs home away from home. Right up front, we DO NOT board small dogs under 20 lbs, only medium to large dogs please. Also we are not a private, one dog, sitting service - we often have up to 4 to 7 dogs at any one time staying with us . If you want a private service, for your dog only, we are not the right fit.. We have been Dog sitting fulltime for 5 years now and have had dog family members all our lives! We will care for your Dog as we do our own, providing a very safe, very loving, fun environment for your dog to thrive in and allow you "peace of mind" when you have to be away from home. I myself, am an avid dog lover and lover of all animals! For me and my husband John, our dogs are our kids, we are "empty nesters" as our two children are grown and gone now. In October 2020 John received a Bone Marrow Transplant. Due to his health and very low Immunity, we only take 3 to 4 dogs at a time and NO PUPPIES under a year. We always offer a meet and greet opportunity before you book with us for your peace of mind and to make sure we are a good fit for you and your dog/dogs. We currently have two Golden Retrievers named Ellie and Jack who love all dogs and anyone they meet! We also have 3 indoor/outdoor cats. If your dog does not get along with cats, we are probably NOT a good fit. We love our kitties as much as our dogs and do not want to chance injury to our cats. OUR HOME We live in a convenient location, on a quiet culdesac, in Meridian. Meridian Veterinary Clinic is just a couple of blocks away. We have a fully fenced, large back yard with lots of big shade trees and grass! Plenty of room to run, play, chase a ball, or just relax in the grass, on the deck, or in the house. We have a Large Doggy Door to allow the dogs FREE access to the backyard as they like. I do not follow each dog outside each time they exit the doggie door to play or poop, so if your dog requires constant. Supervision or special needs such as FENCE JUMPING we are not the sitter for you. We keep an eye on the dogs as they interact , especially when they first arrive to make sure they all get along, otherwise they are free to explore and play in our large , fully 6 foot fenced yard. We have a large Bay window that views the COMPLETE backyard area , so the dogs are watched often through that window. Please schedule a MEET AND GREET to make sure we are a good fit! Your instructions for feeding, medications, and sleeping will be followed as you request. I am able to administer injections and medications as needed. I've had over 2 years experience as a Veterinary Assistant. Your dog will be safe and always get plenty of love and attention. Dogs of all types are welcome, including those with special needs or medications! We only request that your dog(s) get along well with other dogs and cats. Give us a call and we can arrange to meet your dog(s) and for you to see our home and decide for yourself if we are a "good fit". My husband and I are both retired now and home full-time. We have plenty of free time and lots of love to share with your dog! We are home all day. The dogs are indoors with us most of the time.. We have a large doggy door and a large fully fenced backyard with lots of Shade and grass. We do not kennel the dogs but you are welcome to bring or provide a kennel if your dog requires one.
