Pet care experience
Everyone who knows me will tell you that I have an incredible love and passion for my family life centered around children and fur-babies. I genuinely care and love above all else. I have been been caring for and rescuing animals for over 30 years. During that time I’ve worked with many rescues and local organizations to provide loving care to foster, rehabilitate, and adopt out hundreds of many cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, etc. I have worked with feral cats in clinics to fix, vet and release. I helped start the Mason Cat Coalition at George Mason University and myself have had a few hundred cats/ kittens over the years. I vetted, cared for or nursed back to health many dogs and puppies. Most found forever homes for many animals- a few adopted me and my home! I am notorious keeping the unadoptable ones! Something important to know about me is that I am extremely meticulous in my care of animals. I have never had an animal get into places, food or medications they were not supposed to, run out the door, get lost, forget to lock the door, etc. This simply does not happen because I treat them as if they were own family members. I am as vigilant as if I were watching your human child. I have experience in providing care for large all the way down to very small animals, seniors, babies and everything in between including some reptiles, hermit crabs, rabbits, small rodents, etc. I’m very patient and calm, which works well with seniors, or animals with special needs including the, administration of medication, or injections. During my visits I also offer free basic training and/or behavioral advice for dogs and cats. I am normally that go-to animal person that other pet care providers go to for questions.
Reviews
Amy has gone above and beyond to care for our dog, Lola. She really enjoys and takes great pride in what she does. She teaches new skills and is so caring. Her communication is great and she has our utmost trust. Definitely recommend!
Amy truly cared about the well-being of my anxious fearful dog during a drop in. She was very responsive and was patient as we recently moved and I realized some details were not updated in our notes to come into the house. Will definitely use Amy again!
Amy helped me at the last moment to take care of my 18yo dog Sky due to a military obligation. She was caring, communicative, and loving to Sky. I WILL definitely use her again. Thanks!!!
We were unfortunate enough to leave our cat behind at the airport due to issues with her documentation. One of our friend gladly took her in but had no experience when dealing with cats ... Fortunately though we had Amy to the rescue! She assured and calmed us down and offered different strategies on helping taking care of our baby cat. Not only is she super sweet, she spent extra time on the first day to make sure our cat is doing well in the new space and that our friend knows about how to care for her! Our cat immediately took a liking to her ❤️ She even offered her number to them so that they can ask for help if they ever needed to do so ❤️ She is an excellent communicator and writes detailed notes about her visits 👍 We were super worried about the well-being of our baby cat but Amy made all our doubts and fears go away. Thank you ❤️

Information Amy T. would like to know about your pet
It’s important that fur-babies like children be kept on the routine that they’re used to. We can discuss very detailed information to ensure that special care or medication is followed, properly. I am also happy to share any knowledge I have if you seek advice or assistance with difficulties or challenges you may be having. We can certainly work on things, that we discuss, while you’re away.
A typical day
My goal is to care for yours as I would mine and make their time with me a happy one! A typical day is very different, depending on your and your pets’ routine and needs. I believe that there are many opportunities to enhance their time with me and I’m open to suggestions as well.
