Fenced Five Acre Dog Park
Pet care experience
I have a five foot secure fenced front yard and live in a rural area with little traffic. The back yard is separate, five acres and securely fenced at a five foot level as well. I've been a dog owner all of my life. I've been taking care of fosters, friends and neighbor's dogs nearly as long. We have had three Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue dogs. The dogs are walked at least twice a day for about half an hour out back. They have access to the large front yard all the time. Just bring food and (if any) meds. I provide beds and bowls, toys and treats. Convenient to the Morrison, Evergreen and Conifer areas of Colorado. If you're in Denver, about a thirty minute drive provides your dog with it's own vacation spot. I would be pretty nervous about leaving my pets with a "stranger." So, come for a visit and check for yourselves! This is my job. I can stay home with the dogs for weeks before doing a grocery pick up run. I plan those based on our guests. All of our guests are house pets. They sleep where they like in the house on many dog beds. They are on the furniture and the little ones sleep in the bed.
Reviews
We had a poor experience at Amy’s. I arranged a meet and greet, as I always do with a new dog sitter, the week before we needed someone to watch my dog, Fiddle. Amy had just broken up a scrap between two dogs but seemed to have a good handle on the situation and like she understood the different dogs’ personalities. Fiddle has stayed in a handful of Rovers before, including a larger operation like Amy’s and has always done well. My dog seemed comfortable there and we decided to book 5 nights. The evening of day two, I got a message from Amy stating that Fiddle had gotten into a fight, attacked and was stalking another dog there. This was shocking and very out of character for Fiddle who has never been in any type of fight, ever. She will occasionally growl at other female dogs but only a few times, ever, and I disclosed this at our meet and greet. So this was very upsetting to hear, but Amy was reasonable and we spoke over the phone where it seemed like it was just this one dog in particular and that sometimes these things just happen. Amy was also reasonable with a timeline to have a friend come pick her up the next day. If the ordeal had ended here this would probably be a 3-4 star review because to this point I thought Amy handled the situation well and was acting in Fiddle’s best interest to have her stay elsewhere. Then a few days later I received a message from Amy stating that the dog had a wound she hadn’t noticed, accusing me of knowing that there was a possibility my dog would behave aggressively, and that a trust and safety report was being filed against me and Fiddle. I would never put my dog or anyone else’s in a situation where there is a possibility of injury. Between the fight itself and the accusations, this was an overall stressful and terrible experience.
A stay at Amy’s is the very best for our dog!!
I think our pup lives her best life while staying with Amy. It makes our vacations more relaxing to know she is happy and safe!
Our dog had a difficult time with other dogs, which we did not anticipate. Amy was very patient, caring, and flexible with him and communicated with us daily. She is a very kind and a real professional when it comes to managing dogs. Highly recommend.

Information Amy T. would like to know about your pet
Their name, age, weight, breed and gender. Are they neutered/spayed? Are they good with other dogs? Are they current on shots including Bordetella, Influenza, Rabies, Distemper and DHLP/Lepto. Have they stayed away from home before?
A typical day
We go for walks on the fenced five acres behind the house. There are rodents and birds and the occasional bunny to chase. There's a rocky area for exploring and a meadow for running.
