I was raised around all kinds of animals and would often bring strays and odd creatures home! This love of animals grew to a professional career training horses on an international stage and eventually a career as a veterinary surgical anesthetist for a large northwestern clinic. I have always had a dog or two by my side through my life and have experience training hunting dogs and training dogs in general. I have many years of animal and human medical experience and am very comfortable giving any type of medication or treatment needed while your beloved pet is with me!

We felt so comfortable leaving our dog in Amy's care. It was clear from the meet and greet that she is very experienced with dogs and that our dog would be very happy with Amy and her dogs for the weekend. I appreciate that she sent lots of updates and was easy to communicate with. We returned home to a happy and tired dog who showed no signs of having been stressed while we were gone. Would definitely have Amy watch our dog again and would enthusiastically recommend her to a friend.
Amy was a wonderful dog sitter! Butter had the greatest time ever with Amy’s goldens, Luke and Leia. They all went on an amazing adventure to the lake and Butter had the time of her life as I could tell from the videos and pictures Amy sent :) We highly recommend Amy if you are looking for a dog sitter who will treat your dog lovingly like one of her own.
Amy has years of experience working as a vet tech for equine veterinary services in Idaho. She understands animals and is an excellent horse and dog trainer. I rely on Amy to help me choose a new dog because she has a sixth sense about choosing the right animal. I have a fenced yard with REAL GRASS, 12 large shade trees and a 5 gallon water bucket. We have a dog door that allows the animals access inside and out at anytime of the day or night!

If your pet has any special needs, please inform me during booking. I am an RN with critical care experience and a past large animal anesthetist. Any medications needed are not a problem.
A typical day
A typical day for us includes, long walks, fetch at the park, hikes, swimming and much more! Depending on the unique care your animal needs, we will adjust our lifestyle and schedule to meet it! If our weekend entails snuggles on the couch and extra special hugs…we will provide it all!!

Availability
I am currently a full time nurse, but have all Friday evenings and weekends free! I would be available for week day overnights starting at 4pm. When your pet is with me, we will do any and all activities approved prior! I am happy to go hiking, swimming or just stay home with your best friend! Either way myself and my two fur babies will provide a home full of love and happiness for your pet! When I sit for dogs, I will be home and with your pet 100% of the time!!!
