I'm a fish/wildlife biologist who has been lucky enough to work with all sorts of animals, including my own dog, Leah! I would love the opportunity to take care of your fur-kiddos! I have previous dog-sitting and walking experience dating back to high school with pups of different ages and sizes, including puppies and senior dogs. I also have experience sitting for cats, including ones that love attention and ones that need a bit of space. My work has given me hands-on contact with not only furry friends, but feathered and scaly ones too! I love a good excuse to go on a walk, and I hope that you choose me to be a buddy to your dog or cat!

Amy is a wonderful dog walker, dog sitter, and all around dog friend. My dog is usually more excited to see Amy than he is to see me! My pup is a little "special", with some lingering behavioral issues from his past life before he was rescued. Amy is always great with him- very patient with his little quirks, but still at the same time loving and affectionate with him. She really knows how to look after dogs and treat dogs with kindness.
I have owned a local pet sitting service in the northwest suburbs of Chicago for 23 years, and I am extremely picky about who I work with. Amy contracted for me when she lived in the area and did a wonderful job. She is hardworking, loving, dependable and trustworthy. My clients and their pets were always happy when Amy cared for them, and if she moved back to my area I would contract her again in a heartbeat. You can't go wrong with Amy S!

A typical day
One of my favorite things to do with my dog is to take her for long-leash walks! The Arboretum is one of our favorite spots, there are a lot of fields to roll in and trees to sniff! We also loves Homer Lake and Crystal Lake park. Food puzzle toys are a big hit with my pup as well!

I am a graduate student at UIUC, which means that I'm fairly flexible throughout the week and weekends. This also includes early mornings and late nights.
