When my step-mom entered my life, she brought with her a dog—Lola. I had cats all my life and definitely did not think I would be able to make the transition to dog loving, but Lola changed everything! Since Lola, I have been interacting with dogs (and cats still!) everywhere I turn. In college, I missed my pets so much that I started working at our local animal shelter. There, I have cared for ALL kinds of dogs, especially those who are ill-tempered, scared, and wild. Nevertheless, I love them all the same and happily work with them to make them feel loved, able, and adoptable! I have also fostered dogs for the shelter, including dogs that were just 4 weeks old. I would love to be apart of the incredible pet scene here in the DMV. My heart has so much room for doggo and cat love!
