Pet care experience
I started walking an elderly neighbor's Collie when I was 10 years old, and I looked forward to it every week. My love of animals really started at that point. Since then, I have had multiple furry, feathered, or scaly family members, including dogs, a cat, birds ranging from canaries to parrots, and fish. I even worked at a dog trainer (both puppies and adults) when I was in college. I have cared for the pets of several friends while they are on vacation, and I feel like it's almost a vacation for me as well! I currently have a 9-year-old Golden Retreiver named Brooks, who hasn't met a dog he doesn't love!

Amy was so great with my pup! She made special accommodations during the rainy weather to make sure my dog got plenty of exercise/loving even on the gloomiest day. Amy is super reliable, great at communicating and takes amazing care of my pet :)
Amy would make an ideal pet sitter or dog walker. Not only does she have and give the best care to her own dog Brooks, but our dogs absolutely love her! She is always thinking about what her dog needs, getting him groomed, taking him for walks, driving him to visit her folks (his grandparents) because of how much he loves them. We would not hesitate to have Amy take care of our babies when we go out of town, as she treats her them like we do, a member of our family.

A typical day
I love playing with dogs (and cats, too!) and will rotate activities based on their preferences and how they respond. I am an outdoors person and would be thrilled to play in the yard or go on long walks. Depending on your wishes, I am happy to take them to the dog park, First Landing State Park, the beach, or even Salty Paws for doggie ice cream!
