Dog lovers happy to look after your canine family.

Pet care experience

My partner and I have grown up around dogs, between us we have had mixed breeds, pedigree breeds both small and large. We’ve enjoyed loving and caring for our own dogs all our lives, from a boisterous Weimaraner to most recently our timid King Charles Cavalier. Occasionally we dog sit for a family members sweet Cockapoo also.

Amy, Dan and their family are ideal dogsitters. Both have always grown up with dogs from childhood, and then had their own who sadly is no longer with them. In addition they have two lovely children who are very calm around dogs. They have looked after my own dog and she loved her stay. Ours suffers with seperation anxiety which they were great about and ensured she was always with somebody.

Safety, trust & environment

We have a spacious detached home with a quiet fenced, secure garden and a separate office for dogs who want to be by our side, this has direct access to the garden. Our home has quick access to countryside walks from our garden. We are happy to walk and play with your dog when they have energy or provide a quiet space for them to snooze. We’re also comfortable giving medicine if needed for any health issues.

Information Amy P. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs (allergies, medical conditions etc) or behaviours whether this is at home or whilst we are out with other dogs that I can account for. I would also like to know how much time they would be expected to walk. Feeding preferences and times. Do they like and can they have occasional treats.

A typical day

We are very lucky where we live, as we are in a rural setting therefore we have lots of fields and woods on our doorstep, so if your dog has lots of energy you are in the right hands. If your dog on the older side and just needs a small walk around our village, we can do that. We can cater to your dogs needs. We can also play with your dog with dog toys if they have a burst of energy. We have a nice size garden for your dog to have a wonder around and sniff, during the summer months the doors can be left open for your dog to freely roam inside and out.

Availability

Once my kids have gone off to school/nursery I’m generally at home working or looking after the house and in addition my husband also works from home, so there is always someone here to look after and care for your dog. Between us we are able to take your dog for walks as required in the morning, lunchtime or evening. Although our children are very good with dogs, if you’d prefer when the kids are at home we can provide a quiet, calm place for your dog as we have a separate office away from the house where one of us is always sat working.
