Pet care experience
My time fostering dozens of cats and dogs over the last several years has taught me so much about caring for animals. I've learned that when a dog trusts you, you can help them (eventually) trust your burly bearded roommate and other men too. That yellow labs are surprising nimble and can get up on your kitchen counter. And you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I've learned how to administer oral medications to dogs and cats of all ages, care for kittens and train puppies and dogs, and so much more. I loved giving our foster animals the time and energy they need to become a perfect match for their forever home. In the case of Ellie the dog and Turbo the cat, it ended up being my home. I chose to work from home so that I can provide the care my senior dog Ellie's needs throughout the day. She was rescued from a laboratory when she was 8 years old so we had to potty train her as an adult, but now my time primarily consists of letting her outside regularly and telling her she's so cute every 20 minutes. Although she can't walk far, we still go for walks, I just bring a wagon along to put her in when she's too tired! With my fenced in backyard, work from home job, and energy, I felt a need to share my time and space with other dogs. As a lover of all animals (I've cared for farmed animals, rats, and even baboons too!), I can't wait to meet more dogs. And as someone who is paranoid about my animals in the care of others, I wanted to add a reliable and trustworthy pet caregiver to the Rover community.

Amy is so great! She came by to walk our 2 dogs and when one was a little shy she took extra time to make sure he warmed up to her and got outside! She was right on time and sent lots of cute pics. Thanks Amy!
Layla absolutely loved Amy. I was very happy she let Layla dictate the walk when it got too hot. They get along great and whenever they are together I know she is in good hands. 10/10 will rebook
Amy is wonderful with Lucas, and it's always on time and very easy to work with. She's already become part of the family. She's very consistent with Lucas, which helps with training. Anyone with a Siberian Husky can tell you it's important to be consistent. I'd recommend Amy, if she can handle a Lucas, then she can handle most any dog.
Amy is the mist kind, loving, compassionate person I know!! She loves all animals , and displays it with her vegan lifestyle. Amy has a unique quality of resembling the dog whisperer! Dogs are attracted to her like a magnet!! She has fostered and adopted dogs and cats. Her last rescue was a beagle that lived its entire life in a lab being tested on. This lucky dog has been with her 2 plus years and is being shown what love is. Any pet owner will see immediately the love Amy has for dogs, and will trust and love her caring for their pet.
