Pet care experience
I cared for my precious border collie Ralph from 2015 until he died very suddenly in 2022 💔. I started dogsitting through Rover shortly after Ralph passed away, because I still had so much love to give to dogs and couldn’t bear not being around them. Along with my husband and two children, we truly are a dog loving family. Our life centred on Ralph before he passed away, so we couldn’t wait too long to welcome a new pup into our family. Billy the border collie joined us in late 2022 and he is amazing - we know Ralph would have loved him❤️. I continue to dogsit through Rover because I absolutely love spending time with dogs and taking excellent care of them for you. Plus, Billy is a super friendly and sociable pup who loves playing with other dogs, so he really enjoys it too!
Reviews
I can't express enough how amazing the service Amy provided was! Five stars just don't do it justice. When we had an urgent daycare request, Amy came through for us and accommodated us with very short notice. It was such a relief knowing we could rely on her. Right from our first meeting, we felt incredibly reassured and comfortable about leaving our dog Kimchi in Amy's care. During Kimchi's stay, Amy went above and beyond to spoil her with fantastic walks, playtime, and cuddles. She kept us updated throughout the day with lots of photos and videos, which was fantastic. It's clear that Amy does this out of pure love for dogs, which makes the experience even better. Overall, it was a perfect experience for both us and Kimchi. Kimchi had an absolute blast playing with Amy's wonderful children and their gorgeous collie Billy, and now she's completely exhausted from all the fun! We're incredibly grateful to have found Amy and her family to take care of Kimchi. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who wants the peace of mind that their dogs are being loved and cared for.
Amy is just the best! Fabulous service and regular updates and photos whilst I was away. Definitely a home from home for my dog. Amy clearly loves dogs. Can highly recommend her.
Amy is great. She is so attentive to Riley and he really enjoys his walks with her. I love the updates on how is has been
Florence the whippet had a great time with Amy and family for the evening. Amy was great, super organised and attentive to all Flo’s needs I couldn’t have found better for the first time leaving our puppy with someone else. Would highly recommend and will book in again.

We only accept dogs from one household at a time, so yours will get extra special care. It’s very important that your dog is compatible with Billy, so a meet and greet is vital to ensure they will have a good time together. We live in a detached bungalow with a huge, secure back garden. We also live opposite a lovely park which is perfect for walking and playing fetch, and there are great countryside walks starting from the end of our road. I only walk dogs from one household at a time, and I do not let dogs off the lead – I don’t think it’s worth the risk, and they get plenty of exercise during their time with me 😊 I am fully insured with pet business insurance through Protectivity, and also am DBS checked (please ask for details if needed). It’s very important to me to send you frequent pupdates and photos/videos throughout my time with your dog (usually every few hours) as I know how reassuring this is. I love to share moments from our time together with you ☺️

Information Amy M. would like to know about your pet
Before each stay we have a meet and greet session so you can see the house and garden, we can meet each other, and your dog can meet Billy. At the meet I ask lots of questions and ensure I have all the necessary information to keep your dog safe and for them to have the most enjoyable stay possible. This includes info about feeding, routine, behaviours, any health issues, vet contact info, walking habits, and favourite activities. We can also do a short trial walk together if needed. It’s also good to know how your dog is with other dogs and what they may be sensitive to. The more info I know, the better ☺️ All stays over 3 nights must also have an overnight trial stay. Please note, a daycare day is roughly 8 hours. If your dog will be with me for longer than this for a daycare day, I charge £2.50 for each additional hour.
A typical day
During the week, mornings are spent on a beautiful walk that starts with countryside and ends with a lovely park. If your dog usually walks twice a day then we do an evening walk too. At weekends with your permission we may go in the car to a nice local walk location too. Aside from this, time is spent playing in the huge back garden with Billy and the children, playing inside, and lots of quality time and cuddles.

I work flexibly part-time from home, so aside from school drop offs/pickups during the week, it’s dog time! My family loves to spend our time playing with, walking and loving on dogs, so our weekends are all about dog time too.
