Pet care experience
I got my first dog when I was in fifth grade and my second shortly after! I’ve been around animals my entire life. I’ve have 4 children, 2 of them are grown and moved out and the other 2 are ages 12 and 17. I enjoy being outdoors, going on hikes or walks with my animals. I usually walk about 1-3 miles a day. Due to my children's allergies I can only take hypoallergenic dogs.

Nova always has such a fun time! So grateful for Amy and her family. I can tell from the daily videos and updates that my dog is enjoying herself! Amy is my go to when I got out of town :)
Amy was great! First time having Moose for a few days and he had fun. We got pictures updates everyday and felt comfortable knowing our dog was safe and cared for.
Amy was so thoughtful. She did such a great job taking care of our dog. Her other dogs are sweet and mellow I bet any dog will get along with them. Thanks Amy!
Amy was so helpful with working with my schedule! She was very responsive on the app and great at sending updates, videos and pictures. She checked with me about Reinforcing teaching with Nova. Her family was super sweet and loving with nova as well!

My back yard is fenced however I do have an area with that is not standard fence height, I have added photos so you can see the height in comparison to our trash cans. If you have a dog that likes to jump fences, take a look at the pictures to make sure my yard is safe for your dog. I let the dogs come and go as they'd like from inside to outside. We have chickens in our yard as well. They have a fairly good sized coop and run. Both of our dogs would eat the chickens given the opportunity. We've taken pretty good measures to make sure the coop and run are quite secure, so the dogs can't get in there. Our dog Finn is a stud dog. He's is not neutered. I can not have dogs that are in heat at the house. If your dog goes into heat while I'm watching them I will need to contact your emergency contact to have your dog picked up, so my dog doesn't give you some unwanted puppies. Unfortunately, I have had dogs come to me while in heat and have had to have them leave. This causes so much extra unneeded stress while you are on your vacation. Back up plans make all of this much smoother. Luckily we haven't had any accidental puppies!

When do you feed your dog? How often and how much? Is your dog aggressive or dominate? Is your dog good with children? I have 2 ages 12 and 17, however they are old enough to know to be soft with older dogs. I have 1 cats, your dog needs to be friendly with cats. Is your dog potty trained?
A typical day
We'll either go up the canyon, to a dog park, dog lake/ pond, school to throw the ball at least once during the day. Exercised dogs are usually less destructive and happier.

We usually wake up around 7am, let the dogs out and start our day. My husband wakes up around 5am, if you have a dog that needs to go out earlier than 7am. I am a stay at home mom, so I'm able to really tend to your dogs needs. We do have a cat that is indoor/outdoor, so your animal must be nice with cats as well as our cat isn't mean at all. During the summer I take the dogs up American Fork canyon almost daily to swim at Tibble fork, or go for a hike in the canyon. I hike all over even during the winter time. I have an 11 month old golden retriever who needs to have a lot of daily exercise. On the days that I'm too busy to take the dogs up the canyon, I'll take them over to the fenced elementary school near my house once schools out and throw the ball across their large grassy fields. My older dog Ruby (ausiedoodle 9yrs old) she just wanders around, while Finn (golden retriever 11 mths) chases the ball as if his life depends on it, haha. We will usually run into a few other dogs there that they'll say hello to. I leave my dogs food out so the can graze as they like. When I watch dogs I will doo feedings morning lunch and dinner or as directed by you. We usually go to bed around 9-10pm. At this point the dogs get crated, usually they have a few bones in their crate to keep them occupied if needed.
