I've been studying & providing pet care & training for friends & family for a few years while working in the film industry. I've now shifted my focus and experience to chasing my dreams of being a full time pet care professional & canine behaviourist! I have 2 well-trained dogs of my own, a cat, 2 corn snakes and a crested gecko at home - so I know what it takes to create a positive and well-structured environment for all creatures! My experience covers dogs of many temperaments. Young, old, strong, huge, whatever you can throw at me, I'd love to meet your furry child. I am DOGSAFE Canine First Aid Certified (July 2020 & renewed in April 2023) & use lots of positive reinforcement techniques as well as general pack management protocols. Everyone has a safe & fun time while getting to just be a dog!

Amy is honestly the most fantastic person; she is my go to when I need someone to look after my sweet Jen. As always, Jen was so happy to see us but sad to leave Amy’s place so I know she loves being there! Thanks for all you do!

My home comes well-equipped for handling dogs. We have a sturdy fence and gates in our backyard, as well as gates throughout the home to keep dogs out of areas where they could get in trouble (toilet, cat litter, garbages etc.). The home includes multiple rooms that can be gated off in case some separation or a cool down is necessary. We also have huge trees in both the front and backyard, which keeps our home nice and cool even on the hottest days!

Information Amy W. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know if your dog is comfortable walking with other dogs, whether they are reactive or not, and how they do in the heat/cold. I'd also love to know if there's anything you'd like me to practice, work on, or if I'll be using any tools (prong collar, e-collar, specific harness etc.) while working with your dog(s). Please make sure to enter your veterinary info, and if you're making a boarding request please note where your dog likes to sleep at night!
A typical day
**If you are booking Boarding, please note that we might have other dogs in our care along with your dog! Please let me know if you’d prefer your dog to be the only one visiting, and I’ll do my best to make it work! I want you to feel confident & comfortable leaving your dog in my care** We love to play, run, chase balls, practice training commands and have quiet time to decompress (aka NAPS)! There are so many beautiful areas that are just a short walk or drive away, plus potential for lake days, hikes and other fun outdoor activities, depending on how busy the day is.

Availability
I am currently working Monday-Friday from 4-8 hours at Cloud Nine Canines in Surrey. Dogs who stay with me get at least 2 walks per day - one in the morning and another in the afternoon, and weekends are for the dogs! I have a reasonably flexible schedule, so I can do my best to fit you in wherever you need it with enough advanced notice. In our house we love to go on adventures, practice obedience & impulse control, hang in our heavily-shaded & fenced in backyard, and go on long walks through Delta's network of beautiful paths and trails! Every day is a new & fun experience :)
